Lookie Here, I Got Ambushed By A Wingnut, Immigrant Hatin' Blogger!

WorldNetDaily used a picture to promote their garbage, which looked exactly like a bullet going through our President’s face.  Well, most people thought it looked like a bullet.  So I posted it.

Apparently, in Bizarro World, it looks like a tomato.

While moderating comments today I noticed one wingnut comment after another over the ‘alleged tomato’ incident pouring in.  That isn’t typical in a Progressive blog.

A few Republicans visit here and I welcome them, but revolution lovin’, immigrant hating, unintellectual batshit crazies are in another category altogether.

I found out my post about the ‘alleged tomato’ incident was blogged on a radical right wing site.  They also clipped a few Democrat’s comments from here, so look out Dems, we’ve been ambushed by some wingnuts.

When I looked up their blog, this Thomas Jefferson quote was their blog heading, No man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms, is as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in the government.

Aren’t the cute when they start talking about a revolution?  No doubt, it is a great quote but the word revolution is thrown around a lot lately and it’s getting monotonous.

I have inspected the WND picture many times since and I do not see a tomato….. ‘alleged’ tomato.  Sorry but I really like saying ‘alleged tomato’.

I asked a dozen people before I blogged it, five of which are Republicans (and they aren’t easy to find in NYC) what the image looked like to them.  One said it’s a meatball, one said it looks like he had a busted nose and the rest said it  looks like a bullet.  One pondered  over whether it was a flower or a bullet.

My point is this.  If it was supposed to be a friggin’ tomato, this would not be a debate now would it?  WND incites fear.  It’s what they do.

This was condoned by who I suspect is the blogger’s comments when he/she told me of a movie about President Bush which is about his assassination or suicide which I have never heard of or seen.  I want to be clear here.  Very clear.  I would never ever want George Bush killed or dead.

I wouldn’t want Dick Cheney to die either and he sends chills down my spine.  Sorry Political Revolution, I don’t condone that crap and I wish you didn’t either.

I do not know one other Progressive that does or has wanted President Bush dead.  If  I had known about this movie and had this blog then, I would have blogged it the same way I did the picture of the ‘alleged tomato’.

This is what Political Revolution has to say about immigration reform:

“Well, it shouldn’t even be an issue. It does not take a lot of brain cells to understand that if you enter into the United States illegally then you should be deported back to your own country.

National ID is not the way to go to stop illegal immigration. Democrat and  Republican are spearheading the effort to force all working American citizens to obtain national ID cards in order to halt illegal immigration. Senators Chuck Schumer (D) and Lindsay Graham (R) both assume that illegal immigrants who come here looking for work will go back to their own nation once they are turned away. But the reality is that most likely they will find other sources of work that would not require the card. Like taking jobs away from the kids who mow their next door neighbors lawn or cleaning houses or doing small fix-it jobs.”

Oh man, not the kid’s lawn mowing jobs!  You bastards! Okay, Revolution, here’s what your boy, Dick Armey has to say:

ARMEY: I tell you, I was for example not really happy to see Tom Tancredo calling himself a tea party guy.

ROSE: Because?

ARMEY: His harsh and uncharitable and mean-spirited attitude on the immigration issue.

ROSE: But what do you say to that? Do you speak out against that?

ARMEY: Absolutely have, and I’ve taken a lot of heat for it too. But first of all, we’re a nation of immigrants and a wonderful tradition. People have marched with their feet to America looking for freedom. Our biggest problem in immigration is we have a dysfunctional INS. If the government would do its job with some degree of efficiency.

The alleged tomato picture can be seen here.

@Anomaly100: Lol, my site is not in lockstep with WND. If it was, I would be posting so many birther posts it would make WND look bad. I think that is a little out there to be honest.

But what I am saying is if you went to the WND store and took the pic from that, its bigger and people can see it way better and more likely tell its a tomato, lol. Never post tiny pics where people have to squint in order to actually see what it is.

  • http://www.polrev.com ChrisG

@rebel I totally agree on the lib playbook.

  • Rebel

When I said “As for you. Yes-you!” I did not mean Freespeech. The person I was addressing knows who they are.

  • Rebel

@ Freespeech If you go back and read my comments back in January, you will see that I tried to reason with these people. It did not take long for me to realize that there is nothing I can say or any facts that I can bring up that will make any difference with these flakes. When I defeat them in the arena of ideas, I am attacked personally. That is the liberal playbook – when you don’t have anything to say, engage in the politics of personal destruction. All I was doing was trying to explain the conservative philosophy behind the Rush Limbaugh show and Fox News and I was viciously attacked. There were a couple of commenters that needed to be put in their place and I said what needed to be said to them. If they come back and insult me, then I will send them off whimpering again.

Comrade Anamoly is misguided and warped in her perception of the world, but her heart is pure and she means well. She asked me to stop with the personal attacks, and I have. As long as we stick to the point at hand and I am not called names and falsely accused of being a racist, then I will be civil and set a good example of a nice, friendly conservative leaning Republican.

As for you. Yes -you! Don’t even think about it. I know what you are thinking and what you want to say about me. If you say it, then I will squash you like a bug. Do yourself and the World a favor and keep your mouth shut. I don’t want to destroy what little self esteem you have left after I have exposed you for what you are.

  • http://www.polrev.com ChrisG

LOL…ambushed. Classic, Ano. And if you bothered to actually READ my post on illegal immigration, I am only against ILLEGAL immigration.

And by the way, you post the tiny picture of the tomato. Maybe ya should have posted the larger version like I did so people could have a much better look. Food for thought next time. ;)

    • Anomaly100

@ChrisG: I read it. By the way, there’s a new invention we call “enlarging a picture” you should try. The picture I posted was the same size that rag, WND posted.
Is your blog in lockstep with WND? Food for thought. ;-)

  • freespeechlover

Hi Anomaly! Yes, I did read it, or at least a couple of them where you said that people had mentioned the movie and that you didn’t know anything about it, for if you had, you would have blogged about it, and also the name calling, etc. I had a hectic schedule today, and skimmed through what I could, so I haven’t read everything that I would like on here, but I will and discuss it further, and apologize if I need to, and correct things if needed, too. As far as WND, no I didn’t get it from them, a friend sent it to me to see if I thought it looked like a gunshot, and to several others, and then I noticed your site, and was curious as to what others felt they saw. Like I said, I was not happy to see supposed fellow conservatives speak out in such stupid ways, and that we don’t have to resort to that, I see more than enough of it from MSNBC and the other sites I mentioned, so I really don’t like to see anyone who might share my point of view get down in the dirt, too.

My point about “hiding”, was that no one would answer my questions about the attacks on the people I mentioned in the way that I stated. political discourse has really sunk to a depth that is really harmful to our society, and I hope to point out errors to both sides so that we CAN meet in a neutral zone and truly discuss issues important to ALL of us, and find solutions. I still have hope in my heart that we can get there, somehow.

Thank you for commenting, and maybe this can be a start of some common dialogue that can spread to others.

    • Anomaly100

@FreeSpeechLover: Honestly, through all the crazy comments, it was hard for me to find the sane ones. I wasn’t trying to ignore your thoughts, which by the way, I welcome. I try to be fair. I’ve been toying with an idea the last couple of days. I thought it might be good for both right and left wingers if I started a page on this blog with a right wing view point. I haven’t seen it done on other sites yet, but like you, I think we should be able to speak to each other without personal attacks. That reminds me, the “wingnut” rhetoric is not directed to ALL Republicans. It is directed to the ones on the fringe. Look, both party’s have a few crazies and that’s a fact. Obviously, if there was a page for the right wing view point, I could not be the one posting because I don’t really understand Republicans. I try. I even have polls now and then in an attempt to understand but we are different and that’s okay. If you or Hank have any ideas on this, just let me know. You can email or comment if you have any thoughts. I hope this does spread to others as you said. The political world is frightening right now.

  • Hank

Apparently, the picture was accompanied with the headline, “Enough clowning: Americans rejecting ‘greatest snow-job on Earth.”

Based on this, I would think it’s rather obvious it is intended to be a squashed clown’s nose. Which would also account for the “bloody” look. And a squashed nose bleeds? Right?

Now…..yes. I DO think many have over-reacted. And honestly, perhaps a little back tracking is in order.

But I see the overt name calling and as an Individualist who comes down pretty much on the Conservative side of things, I’m a little ashamed of my “Conservative” counterparts.

This is the type of behavior and commentary I routinely criticize Liberals for. Acerbic is not so bad. Dicey is okay. At least in my book and CERTAINLY makes for a much more interesting blog. But insults and overt name calling? Surely reasonably intelligent persons of ALL ideological persuasions can do better.

(Anomaly, all this kinda makes “Chester” look tame by comparison? Eh?? I enjoy your blog.)

    • Anomaly100

@Hank: I wondered if it was possible, but then I realized you were too nice to me!! These guys dropped in from WND I think. WND apparently did a little blogging of their own. As did a few other Republican sites. Good to see you here though. You can call me Chester anytime, but that’s just for you. ;-)

  • freespeechlover

Hank, that is what I said in my first post. I saw many rude and crude comments by so called conservatives that were on the same level as the routinely obscene posts on liberal sites like Huffington and the beast, dailykos, etc., liberals can’t make a comment without using swearing and rude name calling, including this one, with the wingnut, batsh*t, etc., labels. The broad brush used to condemn ALL conservatives with the name calling is childish and flat out wrong. I happen to be an immigrant with the rest of my family, and so is my husband and his family. We all believe that any other immigrants should do it the way we did, LEGALLY! We respect the laws of this country, and so should everyone else who wants to enter this country, or anyone else’s country, for that matter! It’s just human decency and common sense! And if I hear another person say they do jobs no one else wants, I will lose my lunch! I know they do construction, roadwork, office jobs, many, many jobs that the unemployed right now in the United States would be more than happy to do! And yes, my son wanted to mow lawns to make money because he’s too young to get a different type of job, and yes, illegal immigrants prevented him from being able to start learning the value of money at an early age!

Now that I’ve said that, no doubt I will be called an immigrant hater ,even though I’M an immigrant, also! Once again, their arguments don’t have any merit. I find it hard to believe that you would have gotten that many of either republicans or democrats that would have felt that was a bullet. I asked quite a few people that I forwarded the picture on to what they thought it was. And guess what, not ONE thought it was a bullet hole! Not even ONE! I think you are just looking for trouble and something to throw on the wall and see if it will smear a conservative site, and it just didn’t work! there is just too much that the left has done to take this seriously!

And frankly, I don’t know how you could have missed the movie that has been mentioned, as it was a big deal on all networks and the web when it came out, and if you are really as politically savvy as you think you are, you DID see it, and are just trying to dodge that glaring hypocrisy on the part of all on the left! But then, that is not the only example I cited, there are countless death taunts, veiled or open threats on the left, and you are very aware of it, so please don’t play the “I don’t approve” card when you haven’t spoken a word in regards to the examples I stated in my earlier posts. You condone them, or write against them!! And rise above the name calling yourself, and just state your disagreements in an adult and fair-minded way, so that we can all find some middle ground. I don’t know one single conservative that doesn’t want to have health care in this country improved and more accessible, they just don’t want a total overhaul when it’s obvious that the government can’t even control medicare fraud! We should start at the beginning, and work slowly and steadily to work out any kinks along the way that WILL come up with such a vast program. If you really have conservative, (not “republican”, many repubs are just dems in disguise), friends, do they say they don’t want some changes made?

I’m sure if you’re truly honest about it, you will admit that conservatives are fair, they just have a different way of going about it, and if people would stop calling people wing nuts because of differing opinions, something might actually be accomplished for a change!

I’m going to go back through your posts and see how many times you spoke out against the name calling from your side, and also how many times you yourself did the name calling…..just curious, you know, and by the way, did you speak out against the disgusting portrayal of a down’s syndrome child on “Family Guy” that was so OBVIOUSLY a slap at Sarah Palin? I bet you didn’t, but you would have screamed outrage if that had happened to someone on your side of the aisle.

    • Anomaly100

@FreeSpeech: The “wingnut” rhetoric was in response to a few choice words thrown my way on the blog that ambushed me. However, looking back, I thought it was a blog named, Poltical Revolution, but it was a few of them. My guess is, you’re from WND. I saw their view on the first post. I will update this post as “Tomato Gate” I think.

  • Rebel

Comrade Anomaly: Congratulations. You really hit a nerve with your whining about the tomato on Obama’s face. I really don’t even have to post comments here anymore since the word is getting out about your pathetic blog and it’s ridiculous assertions. I hope you enjoy hearing from all the great Americans who are going to vote Obama and the rest of the liberal idiots out of office.

The WND picture is nothing more than a symbol of Obama’s rapidly declining popularity:

    http://www.gallup.com/poll/113980/Gallup-Daily-Obama-Job-Approval.aspx

  • freespeechlover

Agreed, Rebel! They don’t even have the actual courage to stand up for their positions, for they KNOW how wrong they are when confronted with ACTUAL FACTS! They whimper and run and hide at another site that will only allow like minded lemmings who jointly wail and whine and fester with their disease called single mindedness and prejudice against those who don’t follow their thinking! We honest thinkers, look forward to discussing real issues with REAL facts, they deal in robotic programming fed to them by the left, then claim to have all these “emotions”, when they can’t bring themselves to care about anyone else, except those who pat them on the heads and tell them they have learned their doctrine well. When all of these college grads start to have to give up all of the income they thought they’d be making under their leaders policies, let’s hear them say that they are happy to be helping out their fellow citizens! See how much they care about others when they are taxed so much they bring home tiny paychecks! I never even got to go to college, and yet I’m smarter than any of these uniformed children!

Yes, refusal to meet the other side, that is the left, and that is how they are running Washington now, and how they handle EVERYTHING!

    • Anomaly100

@Freespeech: Hiding? Are you kidding me? Listen, there are quite a few Republicans that visit this site, so if I wanted to hide, I think I could do a better job, right Rebel? We speak frequently, however he usually just attacks. He doesn’t debate.
