WorldNetDaily used a picture to promote their garbage, which looked exactly like a bullet going through our President’s face. Well, most people thought it looked like a bullet. So I posted it.
Apparently, in Bizarro World, it looks like a tomato.
While moderating comments today I noticed one wingnut comment after another over the ‘alleged tomato’ incident pouring in. That isn’t typical in a Progressive blog.
A few Republicans visit here and I welcome them, but revolution lovin’, immigrant hating, unintellectual batshit crazies are in another category altogether.
I found out my post about the ‘alleged tomato’ incident was blogged on a radical right wing site. They also clipped a few Democrat’s comments from here, so look out Dems, we’ve been ambushed by some wingnuts.
When I looked up their blog, this Thomas Jefferson quote was their blog heading, No man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms, is as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in the government.
Aren’t the cute when they start talking about a revolution? No doubt, it is a great quote but the word revolution is thrown around a lot lately and it’s getting monotonous.
I have inspected the WND picture many times since and I do not see a tomato….. ‘alleged’ tomato. Sorry but I really like saying ‘alleged tomato’.
I asked a dozen people before I blogged it, five of which are Republicans (and they aren’t easy to find in NYC) what the image looked like to them. One said it’s a meatball, one said it looks like he had a busted nose and the rest said it looks like a bullet. One pondered over whether it was a flower or a bullet.
My point is this. If it was supposed to be a friggin’ tomato, this would not be a debate now would it? WND incites fear. It’s what they do.
This was condoned by who I suspect is the blogger’s comments when he/she told me of a movie about President Bush which is about his assassination or suicide which I have never heard of or seen. I want to be clear here. Very clear. I would never ever want George Bush killed or dead.
I wouldn’t want Dick Cheney to die either and he sends chills down my spine. Sorry Political Revolution, I don’t condone that crap and I wish you didn’t either.
I do not know one other Progressive that does or has wanted President Bush dead. If I had known about this movie and had this blog then, I would have blogged it the same way I did the picture of the ‘alleged tomato’.
This is what Political Revolution has to say about immigration reform:
“Well, it shouldn’t even be an issue. It does not take a lot of brain cells to understand that if you enter into the United States illegally then you should be deported back to your own country.
National ID is not the way to go to stop illegal immigration. Democrat and Republican are spearheading the effort to force all working American citizens to obtain national ID cards in order to halt illegal immigration. Senators Chuck Schumer (D) and Lindsay Graham (R) both assume that illegal immigrants who come here looking for work will go back to their own nation once they are turned away. But the reality is that most likely they will find other sources of work that would not require the card. Like taking jobs away from the kids who mow their next door neighbors lawn or cleaning houses or doing small fix-it jobs.”
Oh man, not the kid’s lawn mowing jobs! You bastards! Okay, Revolution, here’s what your boy, Dick Armey has to say:
ARMEY: I tell you, I was for example not really happy to see Tom Tancredo calling himself a tea party guy.
ROSE: Because?
ARMEY: His harsh and uncharitable and mean-spirited attitude on the immigration issue.
ROSE: But what do you say to that? Do you speak out against that?
ARMEY: Absolutely have, and I’ve taken a lot of heat for it too. But first of all, we’re a nation of immigrants and a wonderful tradition. People have marched with their feet to America looking for freedom. Our biggest problem in immigration is we have a dysfunctional INS. If the government would do its job with some degree of efficiency.
