Republican Senate hopeful, Christine O’Donnell, is complaining that she didn’t get more support from the GOP. Apparently, she’s forgotten that she’s backed by the Tea Party as well as Sarah Palin endorsing her. Newt Gingrich supported her, then he didn’t, then back peddled after Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin denounced any Republicans not supporting her.
Monetarily, she wants even more.
WASHINGTON — Republican Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell of Delaware is calling out the Republican establishment in Washington for not helping her underdog campaign.
In an interview on ABC’s “This Week” that aired Sunday, the tea party favorite said she has asked the National Republican Senatorial Committee for help but that the group is standing on the sidelines even though her Democratic rival, Chris Coons, is getting a boost from his party.
A spokesman for the Republican committee, Brian Walsh, has noted that the group gave O’Donnell the maximum direct contribution of $42,000 and is working with her campaign.
The committee is not spending heavily on ads as it is in closer races elsewhere. Polls show Coons with a strong lead.
Since not many Republicans disregard her insane views and theories, perhaps she expected them to back her. She debunks evolution in her nonscientific wild eyed way by wondering if evolution is true, asking, “Why aren’t monkey’s still evolving into human beings?” To add to her brand of crazy is; her infamous strong stance against masturbation, beliefs that condoms do not prevent AIDS, Science has produced Super Duper Mice with fully functioning human brains and there are no victims of AIDS.
Meghan McCain, one of the few honest Republicans to speak up on the lunacy of O’Donnell, slammed her as a nutjob.
She’s also a crook. O’Donnell paid her rent, gas and food with campaign donations.
Sarah Palin gave O’Donnell advice, telling her to “speak through Fox.” Is that what she had in mind when she threatened Republicans according to GOP insiders with, “I’ve got Sean Hannity in my back pocket, and I can go on his show and raise money by attacking you guys.”
O’Donnell carried through with her threat while being touted by Hannity as a viable candidate.
The Tea Party-inspired Senate contender acidly criticized the party, specifically the National Republican Senatorial Committee, for not funneling any serious cash (beyond a pro forma $43,000) into her race against Democrat Chris Coons.
She has raked in money and without a doubt, Republicans are donating. Last month there was a fund raising effort in which she raised $1,000,000, but a week before she had only $20,374 in the bank, according to the Federal Election Commission filings.
She wants more support from the GOP, asking them to put aside the fact she’s lost a Senate race twice before, can’t hold a job and has a highly dubious educational background, considering she’s lied about a degree she once claimed to hold and has ignored paying her college loans.
Republicans are funneling massive amounts of cash into other campaigns and have given O’Donnell the standard amount in direct funds, but no more ads have been supported by them. She may be considered a throw away candidate since Coons is far ahead. After all, it would be akin to flushing their valuable compaign dollars right down the toilet.
This confirms my thoughts that she was never considered a serious candidate but they backed her in hopes that perhaps a miracle would occur, she would win, which would be the catalyst of their end to Sharia Law, Socialism, Marxism, Tyranny and the liberal/homosexual agenda. And…of course, the Super Duper Mouse People.
Thank goodness they saved America from such a global disaster. Meanwhile, their money is flushed….
