Fox Business News reporter Jeff Flock attempted to report live in the middle of the protests in Wisconsin. Just after Flock began talking, the crowd began chanting, “Fox lies! Fox lies!”
As the shouting continued, you could barely hear the reporter.
”The group gets louder and louder as the segment continues. Back in the studio, an irritated Chris Cotter wondered if they’d prefer a “state-run television network.”
Even as one man yelled right in Flock’s face, he still explained that “most of the protesters were reasoned and calm.”
Our choices are either a state run television network or Fox News? Those are interesting choices he gives, as if there are no other options.
Considering the myths surrounding Wisconsin, it’s no shock that Fox News is circulating them. Wisconsin like a vast majority of states, have made budget cuts which have hit public employees since the recession began.
Public workers in Wisconsin are compensated less than the private sector. The collective memory on the right has forgotten why unions began.
