Kansas state Rep. Pete DeGraaf (R-Mulvane), recently pushed for a 7.5 percent reduction in salaries and wages for state employees, saying the cut is necessary to help balance the budget.
But, now this associate pastor who is in his first term, has gone a step further in pushing his agenda. Insurance companies that offer abortion coverage as part of their health plans, was banned and approved by legislators, except if a woman’s life is in danger.
Now DeGraaf is calling for also banning abortions from rape victims in his pro-life message. With the health of the female gender constantly on the chopping block, it’s not too shocking that rape is just an incidental matter to these radical theists.
DeGraaf responds to Rep. Barbara Bollier’s challenge.
Rep. Pete DeGraaf, a Mulvane Republican who supports the bill, told her: “We do need to plan ahead, don’t we, in life?”
Bollier asked him, “And so women need to plan ahead for issues that they have no control over with pregnancy?”DeGraaf drew groans of protest from some House members when he responded, “I have a spare tire on my car.”
“I also have life insurance,” he added. “I have a lot of things that I plan ahead for.”
In other words, women should prepare for rape because it’s just an occasional incident that occurs now and then — like a flat tire and we should have to deal with it, alone. After all, having a flat tire affects a woman for a life time with emotional and physical results to the likes of which many people can not possibly fathom, right? Politicians are akin to flat tires. If they are broken, we change them.
With Medicare on the chopping block, Health Care Reform demonized as Socialism, thus watered down by taking out anything valuable to women and Planned Parenthood embattled with a fury, this message is clear and simple, brought to you by another GOPer.
Women are under attack.
