There’s a line up of candidates trying to obtain the GOP nomination; Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann, Sarah ‘maybe I’m runnin,’ maybe not’ Palin (we’ll have to see on that one), Newt ‘my staffers left me’ Gingrich and Herman ‘Don’t make me read’ Cain.
But, Democrats have their own crazy card, Randall Terry — running as a Democrat against Obama.
Even Operation Rescue distanced themselves from pro-life activist Terry, saying he stepped down as leader long ago and had “chosen a path that has included negative lifestyle choices, financial mismanagement, misleading donors, and bizarre media events.”
Terry, a pro-life voice, has a video posted on his website echoing the same extreme views and misinformed Fox News viewers ideas of President Obama which are prevalent today — but, he’s running as a Dem??
Randall Terry, hero of anti-abortion activists, extols the misinformed; Obama, apparently is still considered a Socialist. A rational person would guess they’d given up on the Socialist card after they propagated the Death Panels lie. But, cling to it he did:
Terry has run for elected office in the past, as a Republican, but lost at the primary stage in both a state senate race in 2006 and a congressional race in New York in 1998.
Does this sound like a Dem?:
Terry said: “I use the words and imagery that most tea-party and pro-life activists use everyday. History will show that Mr. Obama is the worst president in U.S. history. He is at war with life and liberty, and is enslaving our children to unfathomable debt. This commercial makes that case with precision, and without apology. I am simply saying what John Boehner or Mitt Romney should say daily. Apparently they do not possess the courage or clarity of thought.”
Terry has run for elected office in the past, as a Republican. But he lost at the primary stage in both a state senate race in 2006 and a congressional race in New York in 1998.
He says in the biography on his website that he “has been arrested nearly 50 times.
This reads like a sci-fi novel, where aliens take over human bodies, as pod people. Everything this man states says, Tea Party. There’s not an ounce of Dem in him.
Washington Post article, staff writer Michael Powell summarized some of Terry’s anti-abortion actions:
In 1988, Terry and his legions started standing in front of local abortion clinics, screaming and pleading with pregnant women to turn away. They tossed their bodies against car doors to keep abortion patients from getting out. They waved crucifixes and screamed “Mommy, Mommy” at the women. When Terry commanded, hundreds went jellyfish-limp and blockaded the “death clinics.”
In 1989, a “Holy Week of Rescue” shut down a family planning clinic in Los Angeles. More than 40,000 people were arrested in these demonstrations over four years. Subtlety wasn’t Terry’s thing — he described Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger, as a “whore” and an “adulteress” and arranged to have a dead fetus presented to Bill Clinton at the 1992 Democratic National Convention.
(My bold)
Additional evidence of illegal activity by Terry, indicates that actions by Terry and Operation Rescue may have provoked violence at abortion clinics:
The New York Times reported on July 20, 2001, “One of his [Terry's] most avid followers in Binghamton was James E. [sic: C.] Kopp, now charged in the 1998 murder of a doctor who performed abortions in Buffalo [New York].” Kopp was convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
This is the man who excused Dr. Tiller’s murderer by essentially stating that the doctor provoked it.
Could the Republican Party are also be distancing themselves from Mr. Terry – or is he seeking attention like any narcissist would. In Breitbart-style, he comes to the forefront voicing Tea Party talking points, but to slap a D beside his name, makes a person wonder if he’s working for the left – in order to leave the field open for the 2012 reelection of President Obama.
In that case, Bachmann, Palin, Gingrich and Cain are all working undercover to help us with Obama’s reelection too, because they are just like Randall Terry.
Bless them all.
