Tea Partier With Selective Memory Issues Confronts Obama About Being Called Terrorists

Ryan Rhodes the founder and chairman of the Iowa Tea Party movement and a female companion/activist, approached President Obama while he was shaking hands in Iowa. Rhodes seemed befuddled at the term ‘terrorist’ which Vice-President Joe Biden labeled the Tea Party with during the debt ceiling debacle.

While President Obama remained cordial, I wish to God that he had said, ‘If it walks like a duck, it’s a duck.’

Rhodes must have missed the memo. Tim Pawlenty, the former GOP canidate boasted in an ad that he’s shut the government down previously.  Freshmen GOPers while under fits of political Tourettes screamed for a shutdown. Since last year, they’ve been having Tea Party orgasms over the thought of our government being shut the hell down, regardless of the consequences. Warnings were given from both sides of the aisle that defaulting could be catastrophic, but the Tea Party wouldn’t budge.

While Dems met spending cut expectations, even Harry Reid’s which did not raise taxes on the wealthy, the Tea Party-led Congress said no. In fact, their expectations were not only met, they were surpassed.

House Speaker John Boehner stated they got 98% of what they wanted, but afterward, the Tea Party had tantrums over not  having enough.

We can only conclude, Tea Party Republicans want the government to default and shutdown, just as they’ve been applauding, for some time now — but, only when a Democrat is in office.

Then S&P’s report came out specifically calling our the lack of revenue.  Regardless, their selective memory issues kicked in and they tried to pass the blame onto the President. Never in American history has a faction of one party given in to such juvenile behavior. Without using consequential thinking/behavior, they brought our country to its economic knees.

Never has the world witnessed such Kabuki-style politics, thereby making America appear weak.  As we sit scratching our heads over hearing we could be demoted in status yet again, we can easily conclude that economic terrorism was not only utilized, but blackmail was as well.

Thou doth protest too fucking much.

    According to the PATRIOT act:

A person engages in domestic terrorism if they do an act “”dangerous to human life”” that is a violation of the criminal laws of a state or the United States, if the act appears to be intended to: (i) intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination or kidnapping. Additionally, the acts have to occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States and if they do not, may be regarded as international terrorism.

It seems like the right wing extremists are violating points i and ii and only need clarification of “dangerous to human life” before they all can be sent to jail.

If the shoe fits, wear it! Here is the definition of terrorist…”a person who terrorizes or frightens others.” Doesn’t that describe the Tea Party?

Follow that up with the definition of terrorize and get a pretty accurate description of the Tea Party…
    ter·ror·ize? ?/?t?r??ra?z/ Show Spelled[ter-uh-rahyz] Show IPA

I wonder if the term “terrorist” has always been thrown around so regularly in us politics to describe us politicians and political groups. When did this become a serious political tactic? I might not agree with the tea party but that kind of retarded and divisive crap needs to be called out for what it is. I have heard too many morons call obama, bush and teapartiers that. You would think with like a 20 percent approval rating these politician knuckleheads would eventually learn not to do it.

The President had the best response: “It doesn’t sound like you’re interested in listening.” It’s a common problem with teabaggers and republicans. They only listen to faux news, rush limbaugh, and when god speaks to them.

I think the better headline for this story would have been: “Tea Partier Interrupts Every Question Obama Attempts To Answer”.

When S&P announced the downgrade of the US credit rating tea-partiers were cheering and celebrating. Most were disappointed with their congressmen for not forcing a default. They’re willing to wreck the economy if they don’t get their way. That’s terrorizing almost every US citizen and most of the world!

Did anyone notice the kind of creepiness in what sounded eerily like Michele Bachmann saying “Good job President” over the audio?

I dis agree the tea party would be doing this if the republicans where in power. I see them as basically a politicized version of the old anarchists. They want a USA where each state is it’s own country and doesn’t have to listen to any other states wants or needs.

The corporation funding the tea party see it as a way to have no government regulation. They want a world where there is no government regulation, no unions, that prevents them from polluting or working children for 20 hour days. They see it as the government get in the way of profits for the rich.

The rich are the new plantation owners and they want the poor to be so poor that they have to work for them or starve. It isn’t slavery if they have to work for you or starve, and they lack any rights to make there lives better, because there is no government, or unions, and state governments are firmly in there pockets.

Welcome to the party of corporate America, you have to be ‘this rich to play’ or do what you are told by your betters.

Amen, Shiva. They wouldn’t know the truth if we water boarded them and played it full blast while they were under water.

    • Shiva

@Sally, I think you are 100% correct Sally

  • Shiva

Its going to be funny of we ever have a GOP president again and the Dems cry out for a default. Do we remember you are either with us or against us? That should be Obama’s Alamo war cry starting tomorrow

@Shiva, Instead of a slogan, he could save money and simply point and laugh across the aisle with his birth certificate in one hand, Osama’s picture in another and a sign saying, “Keep your hands off my Medicare!”
