Rick Perry’s Camp Confirms that His Book is Not Intended to be a Factual Statement

Rick Perry went on the road a few months ago on a book signing tour after authoring, ‘Fed Up!’.  This week, Perry was on the campaign trail quoting his book, “I don’t think the federal government has a role in your children’s education.”

Like Jon Kyl, that was not intended to be a factual statement. In fact, a lot of the content in the Texan Governor’s book, is not meant to be factual either.

Think Progress reports that ‘Fed Up!’ is:

a 240-page ode to tentherism, which argues that everything from child labor laws to the Clean Air Act to Medicare violates the Constitution. As it turns out, however, claiming that America’s entire social safety net is unconstitutional isn’t a very popular position — so Perry’s now trying to take it all back just one week into his presidential campaign.

Perry’s communications director Ray Sullivan, said that he had “never heard” the governor suggest [Social Security] was unconstitutional. Mr. Sullivan further said, but “Fed Up!” is not meant to reflect the governor’s current views on how to fix the program.

But, last Sunday evening Perry said otherwise:

a questioner asked the governor to talk about how he would fix the country’s rickety entitlement programs. Mr. Perry shot back: “Have you read my book, ‘Fed Up!’ Get a copy and read it.

Hopefully, the man who asked the Presidential hopeful about the economy doesn’t run out to purchase Perry’s book as prompted. Apparently nothing in it is true to lifeand just to be clear, that is meant as a factual statement.

Facts are the antithesis of conservative thought. I’m not even joking, just look at how blatantly wrong every conservative leader is: Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Bill-O the clown’Reilly, John Boehner, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, etc.

He actually has real supporters and not just family members. Wow just wow!!

I would have thought that Perry would be finished by now, but given the three year run of the Palin lie machine, it seems he’ll be around a bit longer.
