Rick Perry Proving Again that Evolution Skips Over a Few People

While campaigning last month, a child asked Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) what he thinks about evolution. He told the boy, “It’s a theory out there that has some gaps in it.” Perry went further in his flawed speculations, discounting gravity — then he jumped the shark, saying human actions are not a significant cause of Climate Change. Television talk show host and journalist Charlie Rose, interviewed Perry attempting to find exactly what the Governor did believe.

We cannot blindly trust that gravity will remain constant,” said Perry, “when our best understanding of it is just a theory.

Facts just get in the way and certainly scientists won’t hold the attention of Gov. Perry. Who better to try to reason with the unreasonable:

Scientifically challenged Republican candidates are garnering support because of their flawed speculations. So, Charlie Rose interviewed Gov. Perry trying to grasp Perry’s way of thinking only to find the Texan Governor doesn’t do a lot of thinking at all.

Bush got 8 years in the White House out of knowing nothing and being quite proud of it. Sadly, Americans feel more comfortable with the Perrys and the Bushes of the world.

If our society is teetering on the edge of dissolution and chaos, who better to preside over that cultural menopause than Shelley Bachmann? I plan to vote for her, breaking my non-voting record, to make the point that it doesn’t matter who, or what, is in the oval office. They are marionettes, whose words and actions are carefully scripted to accomodate the only players that matter.
I hate being the bearer of bad tidings, but it ain’t you and it ain’t me.
    Embrace the suck.

While I abhor Mr. Perry’s ideas on science, this video is so boring, unfunny, and lame – I almost want to vote for him out of spite. Please try some real reporting and real commentary on your blog. You have created a platform for yourself, and that’s power. Try and use content that doesnt waste that power…

@NewHumanBeing, Relax, it’s just satire. If we can’t laugh, then they’ve already won.

Good Lord. And the GOP thinks this guy should be President? I know, they plan to run Cheney again so they have someone who understands the program in place to pull the strings again…or Newt. each one is wackier than the next. If you set them up as bowling pins, I’m not sure who would go in which place.

Thinking just gets in the way of doing what you want to. And, if you don’t think, you don’t have to worry about facts, those pesky little things that are true.
