Watch top Lobbyist Threaten Obama over Keystone pipeline with ‘Political Consequences’

When someone that speaks for big oil threatens political consequences toward our politicians, it’s time to listen. At a conference this week, Jack Gerard head of the American Petroleum Institute did just that — and this is yet another dubious result of Citizens United.

Gerard, a top lobbyist is sounding the war drums over the Keystone pipeline, stridently stating it will be an election year key issue — warning that the Obama administration should approve it or face “huge political consequences”.

Jack Gerard can stomp his feet all day long and the end result will likely be in his favor, but America will remember that the President was threatened with consequences over the country’s well being.

Let’s not forget Grover Norquist, who is the¬†the main paid lobbyist for the Keystone XL pipeline.

And Mr. Gerard, in 2 years when some section of the pipeline bursts, when the ;largrst aquifer in America is fouled, are you prepared to face the consequences? Of course not, and by then it will be too late to save this nation from your greed.
I stand with the President. No pipeline!

I think it’s time to have an open hunting season on lobbyists with no limit.

How is the keystone pipeline any more dangerous than the hundreds of thousand miles of pipeline that currently exist in the US? Relax.

What does anyone expect? It’s business as usual – make no mistake – the pipeline will happen…..
