Conservative author & radio host, Neal Boortz deems the poor as “toenail fungus”

Neal Boortz, a popular Conservative author and radio host with an audience of around 4 million people nationwide, whose radical concepts on the economy, the President and now the poor, draw ire from the reality based public, has just one upped himself. If you recall, Boortz  — probably whoring for publicity — deemed President Obama as a bigger disaster to America than 9/11.

Boortz is back in the news making comments over a statement made by Republican Presidential candidate, Mitt Romney who stated that he wasn’t “concerned about the poor.”

Robert Sobel of Examiner.com caught this tweet:

Neal Boortz (@Talkmaster)- Romney is right about the poor. When the heart of your country– our economy — is failing you don’t concentrate on toenail fungus.

This will be overlooked by his fans, in fact, the red state welfare recipients probably laughed along with it.  But, if Boortz is trying to support Mitt Romney, he’s not helping.

America’s middle class is dwindling rapidly. Instead of supporting those less fortunate, Neal 1% Boortz is laughing at them.

Something so wrong with these people. And i bet the all claim to be Christian. Jesus had a lot to say about the poor and those who do not care for them.

    wow

What is ironic is that you apply the same tool as Boortz (hyperbole) in pretending not to understand, then exaggerating, what he is saying. Clearly, he was not trying to disparage the poor, only to point out that they are not our biggest problem right now. You would be a poor doctor indeed if you treated a heart attack patient by first applying fungicide to his toe nails.
I am not one who believes that the best way to fight exaggeration is with equal and opposite rhetoric, but to point back to the facts. The fact is that if the economy continues to slide we are going to have a lot more poor than we have now and fewer resources with which to help them. Boortz may be a horses ass, but he makes a good point.

But what if the economy is getting better. A good motivational speaker would never call those who need to be pointed in the right direction pieces of shit. His choice of callous words is why he is being called out.

I’m sure the people in this country who can’t find jobs or feed their kids are happy to know that they’re just “toenail fungus.” What a tone deaf comment.

Guys like Boorst, and Cunningham and Levin just say crap to stir the pot and drive up ratings. They have no other purpose. Therefore I ignore them.
