Blame the Victim: Republicans Cling Desperately to Conspiracy theories on Sandra Fluke

The Georgetown coed, Sandra Fluke who wanted to speak at the uptight all male hearing on reproductive rights had be victimized further after all, when there’s nothing else to turn to as a defense, blaming the victim is the mantra for many vocal Republicans. After all, it’s not possible that an intelligent woman exists with her own opinions that are not dictated by a political mouthpiece. Apparently not.

WorldNetDaily ‘reports’:

Prior to her statements to congressional Democrats, did Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke have any prior connection to Obama administration officials?

Did the congresswomen who pushed Fluke’s testimony coordinate with a marketing and polling outfit that recently conducted a survey to determine whether contraception mandates can become a possible presidential election issue?

I can help the author – the answer is no.

MRCTV:

As many have already uncovered Sandra Fluke she is, in reality, a 30 year old long time liberal activist who enrolled at Georgetown with the express purpose of fighting for the school to pay for students’ birth control. She has been pushing for mandated coverage of contraceptives at Georgetown for at least three years according to the Washington Post.

Oh no. She’s an….activist! Gasp! Who knew. She wanted to speak at the stuffy meeting to determine reproductive rights for women – do you think that’s what possibly clued them in? And she’s THIRTY years old? Well that does it — she’s obviously a Communist too.

After that particular story was submitted to Fark.com, hilarity ensued:

- Everyone knows women are not supposed to have opinions or write things. Unless they involve getting me another beer or sammiches. This is truly a winning strategy for the GOP.

- Oh my god, she has opinions!

-Why won’t she get pregnant and barefoot and make me a damned sandwich? What does she think this is, 2012?

- Only the ordained clergy are allowed to have opinions on the law.

- Well in that case, Rush was correct in calling her slut and you all should vote straight-ticket Republican in the fall.

What woman would not want to be subjected to the right wing media? During a debate in a Digg.com comment thread, a mutual friend Chilidogs wrote:

-Fox News contributor Michelle Malkin denounced Fluke as a “femme-agogue tool.”

-The right-wing site Jawa Report illustrated a post about Fluke with a picture of a tattoo that reads “Semen Demon.”

-Pam Geller wrote that Fluke is “banging it five times a day” and that “calling this whore a slut was a softball.”

-Accuracy in Media’s Don Irvine called her a “skank.”

-Former CPAC Blogger of The Year, Ace of Spades, called Fluke a “shiftless rent-a-cooch from East Whoreville.”

-Michelle Malkin guest blogger Doug Ross used “Got Slut?” in a headline and suggested Fluke suffered from “nymphomania.”

-Dana Loesch complained the controversy surrounding Limbaugh’s three-day “slut” campaign represented a “manufactured” story.”

Fox Nation deemed  Ms. Fluke as “fame hungry.” There are countless more which make it all too obvious why no one would want to be raked over the coals but the rabid right.

Republicans are talking about sex yet pretending it’s about religious liberty, meanwhile their moral compass, as flawed as it is, is being shoved down our collective throat. Every Republican with the exception of Olympia Snowe supported the Blunt Amendment – aka: political suicide.

We get it. Republicans are freaking the hell out with no concept of how to think without talk show host Rush Limbaugh dictating their thoughts.

It’s 2012. Try to keep up.
