Surprise: Sarah ‘the feminist’ Palin Defends Rush Limbaugh’s ‘Slut’ comments

A CNN reporter seized the moment to interview the failed ex-governor of Alaska Sarah Palin after she voted – much to my delight, she states that “anything is possible” in regards to her running for the Presidency. But, then she weighed in on Rush ‘the sleaze’ Limbaugh’s ‘slut’ comment, after slamming a coed for three days.  Scratch that. Four days.

Reminder: Palin has referred to herself as “a frontier feminist“.

If Ms. Palin were concerned about slurs hurled at women, she would apply that to all women, not solely those of a Conservative bent:

I think the definition of hypocrisy is for Rush Limbaugh to have been called out, forced to apologize and retract what it is he said in exercising his first amendment rights-and never is that, the same, applied to the leftist radicals who say such horrible things about the handicapped, about women, about the defenseless. So I think that’s the definition of hypocrisy, and that’s my $.02 for you.

Daily Kos reports:

While she’s quick to cry out “sexism!” at the drop of a hat—or when, say, she’s made herself look like an idiot for the nine billionth time—Sarah doesn’t give half a damn about sexism directed at women who are not named Sarah Palin. In fact, before she discovered the usefulness of “whining” about sexism, she criticized other women for “whining” about sexism and insisted such whining “doesn’t do us any good.” Which is why Sarah Palin is nowhere to be found when other women are subjected to sexist attacks.

Ms. Palin has consistently in the past, as is her mantra, played victim so it’s no surprise that she’s referring to words directed toward her in the past.

I’d say you have her number. She was quoted as saying that Hillary shouldn’t have cried and complained on the trail because it made women look bad. Guess what Sarah? Everything you do makes women look bad, from your hauling around of Trig in 2008, under dressed and dazed, to your allowing Bristol to ahve sex in your home, to pulling Willow out of school, using Track as a prop for your foreign affairsw experience (yeah, if Track was in so much danger in Iraq, why did he not get a medal?) And then there is your total lack of knowledge about anything at all. You are a grifting, nauseating, petty excuse for a feminist. In fact, are you sure you and the rest of the female GOP standing up for Rush are even female at all? Talk about hypocrisy..that you understand.

      Sally: Great, great description.

  • TimFromLA

So , Sarah Palin, you’re a slut and prostitute for McCain.

I’m so tired of the conservatives trying to defend Rush’s trashing of Ms. Fluke by saying “Well, some liberals did this too.” First of all, two wrongs do not make a right. Secondly, Fluke is a private citizen; she’s not in public office, running for public office, nor is she a newsperson or some kind of entertainment celebrity. Like it or not, public figures will get trashed. Fluke is not such a public figure. Thirdly, Rush went on and on and kept it up for days. It wasn’t a quick one liner, which would be bad enough. He continued.

In terms of trashing people, I’m sure if anyone kept count, the racist, sexist, and generally ignorant comments made by the right would outnumber the racist, sexist, and generally ignorant comments made by the left by about ten to one.

Molly, I’m 100% with you on the “two wrongs don’t make a right.” I was up in arms about the “twat” comment about Sarah Palin, even though I disagree with everything she says and think she makes a fool of herself pretty much every time she opens her mouth. There are other, non-sexist, names to describe Ms. Palin and her behavior.

But I have to disagree in part with your defense of Ms. Fluke as a “private citizen.” In the eyes of the law, and I can’t say it’s entirely unfair on this issue, Ms. Fluke made herself at least a “limited public figure” when she decided to go testify before Congress (and possibly through her other activities). So we shouldn’t be trying to defend her as if she were “just” some Georgetown law student.

“So we shouldn’t be trying to defend her as if she were “just” some Georgetown law student.”

        Yes we should.

        • Waterhouse_00

No. It’s rediculous to say she’s “just” a law student.

It’s mind-boggling that people are trying to compare people trashing Sarah Palin with people trashing Sandra Fluke. DOES NOT COMPUTE. Sarah Palin is a politician who has brought such insults upon herself with her ridiculous behavior. Sandra Fluke is a private citizen who did absolutely nothing that warranted being called a “slut.”

Sorry, you have the wrong compare entirely.

      Nearly everything Sarah Palin the person says;
      makes idiots look good!

Being liberal by definition, minds one whose mind is open to liberal thinking.

Have not looked lately, but I think the Right (GOP) handbook defines a Rightee as one who believes everyone else is wrong for society and their dinner table.

I am currently in a wonderful town – and you would NOT believe the conversation I had to scream at – out in public the other day.

      Maybe Rightee = Idiota-ee…

This poor excuse for a mother and a woman I suppose thought the greasebag’s comments were meant for every young woman and women in general including herself and not her own daughters. Well goes to show one imbecile deserves the other.

  • Stephen in Portland

I’m guessing, when she thinks of strong women, she adopts the usual conservative focus on Kegel exercises.

“1 amendment.” She keeps using that word, I don’t think it means what she thinks it means. The liberal media didn’t cause him to retract his statement; the numerous corporations withdrawing their advertisements from his show did. He has the right to exercise free speech but everyone else has the right to call him an ass and not want anything to do with him for it.

  • CrowleysGhost

This woman is of no consequence. Her opinions are of consequence. Her comments are of no consequence. Can we all just move on and leave Palin to drown in the obscurity that she deserves. Even asking her a question gives her the oxygen she needs to survive.

Palin is no longer even a meme.

  • Flints

God you Americans look bad when it come to politics. All National Enquirer stuff. It’s about the Economy and Government Corruption. Stupid Americans and their press. You seem to think it’s all one big beauty pageant. Bunch of little girls you all are.

Id like to take this time to thank fox news for allowing Mrs Palin the venue to continue to show her ignorance, uneducated, and such a powerfull use of 3 letter words that continue to astonish this country, and the world and adding to the continued sinking ship of the right… You go sara,,, just keep on putting your foot in your mouth, or whatever you put in your mouth on a daily basis…

leftist radicals like Ann “Retard” Coulter right?

    • TimFromLA

Actually, you wrote, “Ann “Retard” Coulter”, but I digress. When a bunch of lefty listeners were calling Ann Coulter Mann Coulter, Mike Malloy from the Mike Malloy Show was critical of his fans and said that even if Ann was formerly a man, we should not make of “her”. This shut the people down and many apologized.
