After President Obama’s stunning endorsement of same sex marriage this week, Mitt (R-Bully) Romney weighed in that he believes that adopting children by same sex couples is ” something that people have a right to do” (until he changes his mind).
But, by Friday afternoon, a mere 24 hours later, during an interview with CBS affiliate WBTV in Charlotte, N.C. — after acknowledging adoption as a ‘right’ — the presumptive GOP Presidential candidate quickly backpedaled from that position, suggesting that he merely “acknowledges” that many states offer same sex adoption.
“Well, actually I think all states but one allow gay adoption, so that’s a position which has been decided by most of the state legislatures, including the one in my state some time ago. So I simply acknowledge the fact that gay adoption is legal in all states but one.”
This is priceless: “Romney did remain consistent on one point: He said he does not intend to use President Obama’s flip-flop of same-sex marriage against him in the campaign.” And he said that while flip flopping. Such skills Willard has!
