Elizabeth Warren wins 95% of delegates: “Are you ready to stop Republicans from taking over the Senate?”

“I’ve got just one thing to say: Are you ready?” Ms. Warren shouted from the stage of the MassMutual Center to thunderous applause of support from delegates after the announcement that she won 95% of the delegate votes for the nomination. “Are you ready to stop the Republicans from taking over the U.S. Senate?” she asked.

This is why Democrats love Ms. Warren — she’s the ballsiest candidate in politics.

MassLive reports, “We’ve been endorsing candidates this way for 30 years and we’ve never had a candidate get 86 percent of the delegates votes,” said party Chair John Walsh, referencing the minimum15 percent support threshold Marisa DeFranco needed to appear on the party’s primary ballot.

The Democratic Senate candidate won an election day showdown with Sen. Scott Brown, without the hurdle of a primary.

To answer her question, yes Elizabeth, we’re ready.

I dunno. I heard about some guy named Ron Paul who wouldn’t accept security. That sounds pretty ballsy.

    • Sorrybuttrue

Not if you look at statistical chance of someone assassinating a person who has not shot at president.

You’re nitpicking at someone’s typo because they made a joke about your favorite candidate. Grow up.

You’re nitpicking at my comment because I made a joke about someone who most likely shares your opinion on Ron Paul. Grow up. Honestly, I just thought his typo was funny… and it was.

Let’s just agree that they’re both great. Ron Paul isn’t running for MA senate, Warren is. And Warren isn’t running for president, either.

There’s a viable alternative? Democrats are the only choice.

      • http://twitter.com/Thefoulfellow Douglas Hinebaugh

Democrats are going to lose badly. 8 years of whining about Bush and this was the best they could do? Pathetic.

        • Guest

Best we could do? 8 years of fuck up isn’t easily fixed in 4. Now Obama will be able to something because it’s not just about the Republicans trying to cock block him.

          • Knivesthe

I pretty much vote all democrat because the repubs scare me. But can we stop acting like the democrats are gonna fix things. They aren’t that great. I am just not for the crazy shit the repubs are pushing to rally the religious right.

          • Tim90

typical liberal, put all the blame on the previous president…

          • Renegadetoast

Well it’s not like once we get a new president, everything starts over in the government. The previous president’s/presidents’ actions influence what the current/next president(s) will end up doing for their time in office.

8 years of allowing 9/11, starting an unecessary war, tax cuts for the wealthy, unprecedented application of Executive Orders to ignore the law, a jobless rate that eventually topped at 10%, women’s rights trampled by ignorant Christianists- to say nothing of the lying, cheating and goal post moving because they cant win on their policies or ability to govern, basically, Republican tribalism allowed to run amok…

This is awesome. Warren is, perhaps, the first legitimate populist political candidate in lord knows how many generations. I just hope she doesn’t turn out to be all talk like all the others.

‘Bravery is not enough,’ said Squealer. ‘Loyalty and obedience are more important. And as to the Battle of the Cowshed, I believe the time will come when we shall find that Snowball’s part in it was much exaggerated. Discipline, comrades, iron discipline! That is the watchword for today. One false step, and our enemies would be upon us. Surely, comrades, you do not want Jones back?’

    NOPE.
The democrats drove the bus for long enough. They were allowed to run over people, AND bus fare now costs more than my (nonexistent) grand-kids can afford to pay.

    • Jemima

Because 8 years of Bush wasn’t enough? You talk about Democrats “running over” people and yet your party wants to deny homosexuals the right to marry, remove Social Security, regulate a woman’s body, and reject universal healthcare? Give me a break.

    • you’re a moron

      Go play in traffic.

    • Howard Treesong

I adore the perfect selective amnesia that is displayed whenever republicans discuss politics. Bush inherited a surplus. He could have easily increased that while paying down most of the national debt. Instead he starts two wars, gives his buddies a tax cut “You are my constituents. You are the haves, you will have more”, boy, did that ever turn out to be prophetic, gives the people who need it most less.

Then, when his successor can’t fix the unholy mayhem he has unleashed, the democrats drove the bus for long enough. Because, yeah baby, when Mitt Romney takes over and ‘reason prevails’, then we’re going to see what a business-savvy president is going to do to the people who can’t make ends meet even now.

What’s the goal here? Three jobs each for mom and dad and still not make rent? Health care insurance sold at Tiffany’s in New York, the ultimate fashion statement? The oil companies, obliged by law, to drill in your backyard and making -you- pay for the cleanup?

Also, please stop stem cell research, there’s no reason for the US to jump even further ahead on the global theater, don’t improve the infrastructure, it costs too much money, and especially don’t rest until student loan debt is at least 3 trillion dollars.

The republican party, the people the second amendment was designed to stop with fire arms.

  • http://www.anthonytaurus.com Anthony Taurus

She can probably take the presidency in 2016 if she decides to run. She’d have my vote! Democrats will be the only ones willing to vote in a non-White male candidate. Republicans may parade around their house negros and ditzy baby machines but they could/would never elect either to the presidency. Warren has those progressive guts that many Democrats lack but really want in a president and candidate for any political office. I hope she runs in 2016. We need her RIGHT NOW!!

Mass votes for idiots I think to much urine in the water makes the idiots in Mass vote for the worst possible Democrats. We need to get rid of both parties and elect someone who believes in America making money not welfare and free health care. America was built on people working in Mass you are almost not allowed to work till 18 and then their are no jobs they exported them to China.

  • Stogie69

Cracks me up how many Redditors who don’t live in Mass. are so impressed with Fauxcahontas. Her ‘resounding victory’ over a little-known and poorly-financed primary challenger is attributable to her anointing by the national party elite (as evidenced by our governors 11th-hour endorsement despite his prior commitment to remain neutral in the primary). The fact that she’s only running even with the Republican candidate in a state that bleeds blue should give pause who are ready to declare her the next senator from Massachusetts.
