Just recently in Wisconsin, a musician from a hate-band hunted down peaceful Sikhs and murdered them. On Friday a mosque was fired upon in a Chicago suburb — while people were praying inside. And now, Tea Party Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Deadbeat Dad) delivered another highly divisive speech at a town hall meeting — while also stating that he’s, “looking for some Godly men and women in the Senate.”
“I’m looking for some godly men and women in the Senate, in the Congress, who will stand in the face of the danger of Islam in America without political correctness,” the man said. “Islam is not the peaceful, loving religion we hear about.”
The line was met with applause.
Walsh responded by asserting that radical Muslims are “trying to kill Americans every week,” and that “it’s not a matter of ‘if’ – it’s a matter of ‘when’” a 9/11-like attack will happen again.
Walsh went on to claim that radical Islam had found its way into the Chicago suburbs, including some that he represents.
“It’s here. It’s in Elk Grove. It’s in Addison. It’s in Elgin. It’s here,” he said.
A coterie of Conservatives appear to be the only ones privy to this information, including Michele Bachmann, who has been strangely silent after the shooting in Wisconsin — who also do not believe their words should hold them accountable for the violence directed toward Americans while they are praying.
More disconcerting, is the applause from the audience. Lord, please protect me from your followers…
FYI: The Tea Party Republican, also serves on the Homeland Security Committee.
