What is said at these Republican fundraisers is the meat of their campaigns. Republicans know who pay the bills, fund the races and ultimately put them in office – and it’s not the 47 percent.
Sure, white rural people – like those in Georgia and South Carolina – vote for Republicans. That in effect puts them in office. However, the money, the ads, the financial clout comes from the rich.
This is why they cater to them.
There is a “have, have not” war being waged in this country. The Republicans have sided with those who have and have more while belittling the have nots. And this began before President Obama was elected – as the data hyperlinked shows.
Nationally, Mitt Romney boldly threw 47 percent of American people under the bus. People who are on Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security. People on veteran benefits. People who receive SNAP.
In South Carolina, Republicans have cut such programs bone dry. They are dismantling public education. They are sticking their nose up to expanding Medicaid.
Nikki Haley spends freely on travel to foreign countries and tells reporters she won’t answer questions, but doesn’t blink and eye when she suffocates women‘s rights, drowns Medicaid and watches the poor and elderly in the state fall by the wayside.
Sadly, the very same people hurt by Republican polices vote for Republicans.
South Carlina will give its electoral votes to Mitt Romney. There is no chance for this state to turn blue. And, ultimately, Republicans abuse this fact time and time again.
It’s why they converge on the state. They come from all over the nation to inject their damaging philosophical views into the people’s veins while putting on a facade. As the poison flows, the people are calmed with God, guns and glory.
And that is how the have and have mores boot the have nots into oblivion.
They’re duped… and it’s sad.
As the war wages, new elements emerge. The blunt language has now been exposed. Will people who are affected change their votes?
Probably not. However, the moral question they need to be asking is exactly who these Republicans really are and why do they say one thing to a group of people as they smile to us in return for votes.
And when these Republicans start questioning their own, that’s when the foil paper unwraps.Click here for reuse options!
