Mitt Romney is after Big Bird, but Republicans have been stalking and doxing the Bird for years

Wednesday night during the Presidential debate, Mitt Romney said,” Sorry, [moderator and PBS host] Jim [Lehrer] I’m gonna stop the subsidy to PBS. I’m going to stop other things– I like PBS. I love Big Bird, I actually like you too. But I’m not going to keep on spending money to borrow money from China to pay for. So that’s number one.”  Make no mistake about it, the right wing hates on Big Bird and in fact, the entire population on Sesame Street. They’ve essentially been following the character’s steps while analyzing their words. Stalkers.

Jim DeMint’s website from Feb. 2011:

Elmo has been particularly busy. Elmo has testified before Congress about the need for more funding for the arts and participated in other press conferences to increase spending on public broadcasting. Elmo even went on the lecture circuit last year with Federal Communications Chairman Julius Genochowski to promote government-funded broadband Internet.

At this rate, Americans can expect Big Bird to start filming commercials to hype ObamaCare.  If the FCC can borrow Elmo from PBS to build support for their plans, what’s to stop the Department of Health and Human Services from feeding Big Bird some lines?

It’s time to draw a clear distinction between the government and entertainment. Democrats shouldn’t cast our children’s most beloved creatures as characters for their big-government, big-spending causes.

This is the evil video DeMint is so concerned with:

Big Bird is character (or in the GOP-mindset, a real person) on the children’s show Sesame Street. I feel a little slimy doxing Da Bird, but for the sake of transparency and in a bipartisan effort to reach across the aisle, so to speak, I’m going to add to the Big Guy’s dox dump.

Big Bird is 8′ 2″ tall. He’s formidable, so look out GOP but being yellow, he’s a minority so that’s likely why he is targeted. Da Big Guy’s birthday is coming up. He was born on November 10th, 1969.

B.B. lives in a rather large nest behind the 123 Sesame Street brownstone and has a teddy bear named Radar — his phone number is (I’m taking a guess here) the Letter C.

Later on in Bird’s life, he became a movie star. B.B. is a part of the Hollywood elite that the GOP detest so much.

Big Bird thinks of himself as more of a “condor.” Another reason for the focus on Mr. Bird is because some may see him as an inside Obama operative, since he made a non-speaking appearance in The West Wing Season 5 episode “Eppur Si Muove”. Big Bird has visited the White House. That’s just scandalous. No one ever goes there.

It looks like Big Bird is busted. I can see Joey Farah typing madly right now, or Drudge Report releasing another news breaking story.

DeMint writes, “Inside the Beltway, Sesame Street turns into K Street and Elmo is a lobbyist. Last year, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting was allocated $420 million by Congress. And, President Obama is asking Congress to give a whopping $451 million to CPB in his new budget, even though the nation is more than $14 trillion in debt.”

That was written by a member of the same party that believes reigning in tax revenue, would not bring in enough. It’s a drop in the bucket, according to them. But this, is too much money. War with Iran is not too much money though, right? Mitt Romney wants to enhance our military — and that is costly. But, Big Bird and Elmo need to go.
