Riverside county Police Chief Sergio Diaz has stated that the body found inside of a burned cabin in Big Bear, was indeed fugitive former LAPD officer Christopher Dorner’s, the Press-Enterprise reports.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is expected to make a statement soon. Earlier, authorities swarmed an area of Highway 38, just south of Big Bear where a woman was found tied up and the suspect was fleeing the scene. Dorner was surrounded in the cabin and gunfire could be heard. The cabin started burning for unknown reasons at this time. Some reports state that he tried to vacate the cabin at one point and authorities pushed him back again. Details are sketchy at the moment.
Other reports have said they cannot confirm whether it’s Dorner’s body or not, until a DNA test is done. So, this is confusing as hell. And to make matters more confusing, some are stating that no body was found.
