In not so shocking news: Majority of Americans find Republicans out of touch and too extreme

At a time when the Republican Party needs to rebrand its image, a majority of Americans are finding the GOP too extreme and out of touch. As many as 62% of the public says the GOP is out of touch with the American people; 56% think it is not open to change and 52% say the party is too extreme, according to a new poll.

In contrast, Democrats are viewed more favorable with the exception of some saying the Republican Party has strong principles (63% vs. 57%).

After being handily defeated by President Obama, Republican leaders are debating the party’s future.

Pew Research reports, “In January, just 33% said they viewed the party favorably, among the lowest marks of the last 20 years. The GOP’s favorable rating has not been above 50% since shortly after George W. Bush’s reelection in 2004.

An earlier release from the survey by the Pew Research Center and USA TODAY found that while both party’s congressional leaders receive negative job ratings, just 25% approve of the job performance of GOP leaders, compared with 37% approval for Democratic congressional leaders.”

Only 62% is surprising to me!

I know, I know, but it’s probably a ‘skewed’ poll.

I am asked rather often to my dismay, to please talk to certain people I refer to as Tea Tards … I believe we are witnessing the evolution of humanity … according to certain scientific research that I’ve been reading, these people are incapable of entertaining conflicting thoughts, much less speaking in multi – syllables … I also see no point anymore, in trying to discuss anything with anyone who deliberately chooses to remain ignorant … it’s a waste of time …
