Why does Eric Holder hate asparagus? During the heated atmosphere of Attorney General Eric Holder’s testimony at the House Judiciary Committee hearing, suddenly Louie Gohmert (R-Tex) accused Holder of attacking his integrity and “casting aspersions on my asparagus.”
Asparagus is probably the most innocuous of vegetables especially in comparison to artichokes, so Republicans are missing an opportunity over a ‘real’ conspiracy.
While discussing the Boston Bombing case, religious freedom was brought up by Gohmert.
Gohmert said as he raised his voice, “Because of political correctness, there was not a thorough enough investigation of Tamerlan to determine this kid had been radicalized.”
Holder responded, “You don’t have access to the FBI files. You don’t know what the FBI did. You don’t know what the FBI’s interaction was with the Russians. You don’t know what questions were put to the Russians, whether those questions were responded to. You simply do not know that. … I know what the FBI did. You cannot know what I know.”
Gohmert became unhinged (like that’s something different.)
Watch around the 8:50 mark:
Of course on Twitter, people are taking the piss out of Gohmert.
@bpshow I will never look at asparagus the same again. Thanks, Louie Gohmert!
