Totally not racist man takes down Confederate flag, replaces it with Nazi Flag until Obama is impeached, resigns

73-year-old Joseph Sincavage insists on flying the Nazi flag in front of his home, even though the police have asked him to remove it. The Stratford, Conn. man claims he’s flying the offensive flag in protest of President Obama, “I am going to keep flying [the Nazi flag] until Obama changes his policies, resigns or gets impeached.”

The former marine is flying the Nazi flag alongside the American flag, A U.S.M.C. flag, and a Vatican flag on his Connecticut home. According to neighbors, the Nazi flag was put on display, replacing the Confederate flag that usually hangs between Sincavage’s U.S. and Marine Corps flags.

According to the Stratford Star, Sincavage decided to fly an Israeli flag also, “so Jewish people won’t think I’m mad at them or anything like that.” He immediately ordered one and said, “It’s on the way.”

Sincavage insists on leaving the flag up, “I am going to stay with it on the basis of my First Amendment rights.”

He continued, “I didn’t realize people would take it as offensive,” and conveyed to the Stratford Star reporter  that he is not a member of any type of group associated with the flag.

“I have no animosity toward Jewish people,” he told The Star. “They too are being given an unfair deal by President Obama. The founder of my religion was a Jew.”

One of his neighbors said to NBC Connecticut, “He’s just a racist. That’s the bottom line. What would you have an American flag next to a Nazi flag? That makes no sense?”

Definately racist and probably senile too.

    • Lori Dove

He would only be racist if he had the beliefs that go along with the flag and it seems in this day in age we are treated more communist than in Russia or any other country and it just seems to be getting worse and it starts with Obama and works all the way down the chain have you not noticed that our rights are being taken away from us daily and they are finding any loophole to do this!!!!

      • http://FreakoutNation.com Anomaly 100

The flag is symbolic of said beliefs. Don’t blame Obama because this man is a racist. You do see how you’re doing that, don’t you?

      • Charles Evans

Speaking of rights. Have you heard that the supreme court ruled against the voting rights act? Have you heard that GOP governors are trying to take away your right as a woman to make choices about your body? Have you heard that the Republican led house voted against battered women, a woman’s right to equal pay, and have you heard that Republicans refuse to help your children pay for college? Are you sure it’s Obama that is the bad guy here?

        • clr1390

Ya wonder what they are drinking?

          • Cosmic_Surfer

That kool-aid has been rendered to a syrupy jam congealed, cloying and condensed…one can tell by the increasingly inane, mundane and insane rhetoric

        • Reta Lane

They don’t really care what happens as long as a republican is doing it. I have republicans in my family that don’t know much of anything as they never read or do research, they just listen to Fox News hours on end and think that it is all true.

      • Everybodhi

You go Lori Dove! Get yourself a Nazi flag because “we are treated more communist than Russia”. Makes sense to me! Fly the Nazi Russian communist flag if you hate Obama!

If I was a Jew I would certainly take offense if nasist flag was flying beside the Star of David

  • Lucius

Not a racist? Ok. Then what is his point about displaying a Nazi flag? Wants to be identified with Hitler?

    • William Woodburn

I think his point with the Nazi flag is that he believes that the U.S. government is engaging in oppression. In any case, IMO, it’s symbolic speech and protected by the First Amendment.

      • Everybodhi

What a great point, William Woodburn! I think all of you people that are being oppressed should fly a Nazi flag! Brilliant move! Your candidates should use the Nazi flag in their political campaigns, as well!

  • gailillly

He is a racist and that I why he is doing this. Not Only should the Jewish people take offense but so should the president of the U.S. What a friggen idiot. Now if someone eggs his house or does damage to his property, he will be the first to bitch. He is ignorant as far as I am concerned.

  • heychief

I’ve said this before about another rightwinger but this guy’s head would explode if we mentioned that Obama is center right. Of course right wingers idiotically believe that Chris Christie is center right

    • http://www.the-pet-butler.com Sherrie Roberts

about Christie, not anymore, since his latest remarks about the gay marriage ruling. He almost had me convinced.

      • jelun

Uh huh, he is slick. He has fooled a lot of people. They love that “I will say what I think I need to say” part of him. He is no friend of working people who don’t make over a couple of 100K a year. Neither is he straying, as you note, from the theocracy loving segment of the not GOP.

  • Charles Evans

This guy is an ex-marine? Wondering how he felt about the non-white marines he probably served with during Vietnam. Hopefully is bigotry didn’t result in any deaths of his fellow minority marines.

  • http://www.tumblr.com/blog/akinsc Carla

Since he had to take down his confederate flag to hang the nazi flag, I’m willing to make the leap and say racist. But the best line ever is “the founder of my religion is a jew”.

  • Eric Hoyle

Good or bad, love him or hate him, the bottom line is that he’s correct about having the 1st Amendment right to fly whatever flag he chooses…and that right should not be questioned by the police or anyone else. As an American, I am very concerned that people are being too quick to pick and choose who gets to have rights and who don’t. We must view everyone’s rights as an “all or nothing” situation. Otherwise, this country and everyone in it will loose their rights and freedoms. And some would say it’s already happening…just do a little research and see for yourself.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Keith-Kemp/100001264381737 Keith Kemp

Your argument is baseless and tasteless because he is exercising is right to display the flag of his choice. Tasteless because this flag represents defenseless people being shot . gassed. and burned to death . Show me how many people who would like to say this is the flag of peace and love and I will show you a pile of horse manure . Let us see if he chooses to hang a noose outside his porch and you may tell us what he is expressing now Mr Hyde . When you and I become lawyers than people will have to pay for our opinions but until all of this is armchair talk

    • Alex Schnebly

Well said Eric, it’s people like Keith Kemp who are only proving the old man’s point.

  • juicyfruityyy

These racists always want to start off by saying; “I am not a racist.” Then they continue (by words, symbols, action, and their guns) how much they dislike you. But they are not a racist…LOL

  • Sharnell Barkdull

Only racists have those types of flags. He did it in hopes of stirring up trouble. You may have the First Amendment right, but you take responsibility for the actions that happen while exercising it. He’s a disgrace to the Marines.

    • Jim Wetherell

he is what they refer to as an ex-marine

    • disqus_owOP020tXs

Well he might be if it weren’t already understood that the Marines are chock full of racially charged trouble seekers.

MOFO if you’re not a person who supports men women and children being shot baked and gassed then why the F are you flying a flag that people all over the world died to bring down ?? You’re a disgrace to the corp because you said you would go and stand up for the protection of the weak and defenseless and your not doing it !! My grandfather was a USMC member and he would knock you on your ass if he was still alive today. You say your not happy with the current US president than wait until the next election and exercise your right to vote !! You hang a flag of hate in front of your house and we will know that a hater of the weak and defenseless lives here . May your name go down in infamy

Connecticut, for all it’s wealth and history and higher education, probably has more Klan members than most states. It is well known, and the people shrug it off as “just a part of our state”.

    • Everybodhi

California has more white supremist organizations than any state, according to the southern poverty law center. We have that “part” in our state, too.

    • chrissy9848

I never would have guessed that ..sad

  • Reta Lane

I am so sick of seeing and hearing people compare our country to a Nazi state now. That old fool is just insane and is nothing but a sick old racist because if you can compare our country to a country that killed millions of people and that was after Hitler had all their belongings confiscated and used them for slave labor. You don’t have be old to think like him though as I see so many people writing the same kind of things. They really think they are being persecuted and have it rough but what so many fail to understand is that if we were living in a country that was being led by a person like Hitler, they wouldn’t be able to write what they do as so many would have been inprisoned or killed for it.

    • juicyfruityyy

They do this because they can. People complain but no one will stop them, Unless, that person is a Democrat. Then they would be jailed or if a Politician, would be forced to resign.

    • http://www.tumblr.com/blog/akinsc Carla

      Well said.

    • Alex Schnebly

How is he a racist by flying a nazi flag? He’s proving a point especially being an old U.S.M.C. vet and I believe he truly is trying to send a message that he believes is right.

      • Neva Rae Powers

OMG. What an idiot comment. A Nazi flag is synonymous with antisemitism.. What planet do you live on?

    • Banphotoradar

Sorry, under NDAA 2012, Obama is now a dictator.

    • layer100

There are those who see things through rose colored glasses and those who do not see at all. If Obama had done the things Bush and Cheny had done I could say yes let us impeach them but for those who see the good he is trying to do is plan hypocritical and stupid. Something that has overwhelmed the republican party like a disease similar to obesity but worst. Is there a cure? I doubt it because it appears to be so deep that it oozes out of their mouths before their brains are engaged.

Yep, that is about right. America is dead and we live under a Nazi dictator.

    • smallfootprintmama

If that were true, a government official would have shown up at your house and taken you to a “re-education camp” already, or simply shot you in your front yard–just for expressing that opinion publicly. Learn some history.

  • Josh Ciresoli

If anyone has a problem with Nazism, they should study the eugenics boards, internment camps of WWII, Hitler campaign speeches (like the ones from 1932 that make Him look like an American politician), the medical experimentation of American psychaitrists on unsuspecting and defenseless patients, the use of Agent Orange in Central America pre-Vietnam, the DOD Manual # FM 3-39.40 Interment and Resettlement Operations, Issued February 2010, leaked on the internet. The real problem that people will have is how Hitler modeled it’s holocaust after American eugenics with it taken to a higher level than we did here in the States.

  • dunamis68

He is mentally ill, sad really. Our president, President Obama was democratically elected TWICE for heaven’s sake!

They need better zoning laws restricting the number of flags flown on any one house in a residential neighborhood. What is it with people needing to fly flags? Aside from any reprehensible politics, this man’s house is one big eyesore. Hang it in your living room buddy.

    • Jay Jefferson

What right does the government have to restrict the number of flags someone can fly on their home? I doubt you’d take too kindly to a zoning law restricting the number of Barack signs in your yard.

      • Matthew Pimentel

        Says the moron

        • Jay Jefferson

Please enlighten us Matthew. What right does the government have to infringe on free speech?

          • Matthew George

I didn’t know anyone kept Barack signs in their yard. I’ve not seen one since last November, and beyond that another 4 years. Either way, if a Barack sign is put out, it is as a sign of hope. A Nazi sign is put out as a sign of hate.

    • beautifulwitch

I would only think that a man Flying this Flag was a Nazi. It reflects on who is living in the home, not at all on how he perceives President Obama’s policies.

  • jelun

You look to be young, please read up on Nazis. They were despicable. They killed anyone that was not like them including gays, those with disabilities and, of course, the Jews who they blamed for every economic difficulty, similar to the way those peope who like to use coded phrases use the “47 percent” today. They experimented in horrible ways on people who just happened to be born as twins. Sadists of the worst order.
As for being a Marine, this man follows in the path of the worst of those, there are USMC who are criminals, you know. The rapists, the torturers, the murderers find their way into the ranks as easily as the heroes.

  • jelun

So this old man has a right to his 1st Amendment rights, but, Mr. Kemp does not?

LOL, why do I think that your ignorance is not as innocent as I initially took it to be?

Nazis are National Socialists. What don’t you understand about that, and who ever said he was GOP?

        • Jonathan Arndt

I did and you know very well he is right in the GOP wheelhouse. Actually I am sure he is a TeaKlanner but voted GOP.

          • Jay Jefferson

Not once did he indicate any political party affiliation. If he were Republican, or supportive of the Tea Party movement and NOT the GOP as a whole, how would that make him racist or a Klansman?

          • Matthew Pimentel

It’s a back-door inference. Since most Klansmen vote Republican, it is assumed that a Nazi white-supremacist would also vote Republican.

          • Jay Jefferson

            Haha.
What incriminating evidence do you have that most Klansmen vote Republican? Go ahead, enlighten me.

          • Matthew Pimentel

Enlighten you? That’s like asking me to cure Down’s Syndrome. How many Klansmen admit to voting for Barack? So either they don’t vote (doubt it) or they vote Republican. Either way my statement stands without challenge. I won’t be surprised if you’re still confused.

        • Wilma Corbokowski

Jay, Obama is not a national socialist. Reagan was more socialist than Obama was.

    • Jamie

Nazi’s were conservative nationalists. They had an almost cultish love of country and strove to bring Germany
back to a perceived former glory. They had little concern for the
outliers of societies (Liberal radicals, Jews, Gays, and more) interests
and later rounded those up and systematically killed them. Even through the word ‘socialism’ is in their name, they were anything but. In fact, they we diametrically opposed to by the Communist party.

  • Jay Jefferson

Adolf Hitler was also elected. What’s your point: if someone’s elected, they’re beyond criticism?

    • Jonathan Arndt

Common misconception that Hitler was elected. Hitler was never elected. He ran in two national elections in 1932. In the first, he got 30 percent of the vote, and no one got a majority. In the resulting runoff election, he increased his votes to 37 percent, while his opponent, World War I hero Field Marshall Hindenburg, got a majority. And since the Nazi party won 230 seats out of 608 in the Reichstag, it did not have the majority to make Hitler Chancellor.

So how did this happen? By backroom backstabbing, double-crossing, threats, and promises, including among former Chancellor Franz von Papen, present Chancellor Lieutenant General Kurt von Schleicher, and the elected President Hindenburg. Their maneuvering, a rumor of a threatened military coup, and the urging von Papen, who had entered into a secret alliance with Hitler to get supporters into Cabinet positions, finally persuaded Hindenburg to reluctantly appoint that “little corporeal” Hitler chancellor. Many involved in this intrigue, including von Papen, thought that this would bring Hitler under their control.
When Hitler was appointed in January 1933, Germany was a democracy. Germany had fair elections; nobody had their right to vote abused; there were numerous political parties you could vote for etc. To pass a law, the Reichstag had to agree to it after a bill went through the normal processes of discussion, arguments etc. Within the Reichstag of January 1933, over 50% of those who held seats were against the Nazi Party. Therefore it would have been very unlikely for Hitler to have got passed into law what he wanted. . . .

Hitler had promised a general election for March 1933. . . . One week before the election was due to take place, the Reichstag building burned down. Hitler immediately declared that it was the signal for a communist takeover of the nation. Hitler knew that if he was to convince President Hindenburg to give him emergency powers. UmKay

      • Jay Jefferson

But Hitler was still elected to some office in the first place, was he not? Everything Hitler did was also “legal” too. The Nuremberg Laws were “laws,” after all.

        • Wilma Corbokowski

But they weren’t democratic, so Hitler’s election and Obama’s election are NOT the same.

        • Neva Rae Powers

Oh honey, you need to read some history.

By the way, I’m Australian, so I don’t really care about everything America has going on with your political parties, I just think it’s a little ridiculous that a lot of Americans judge each other solely based on political party.

      • Neva Rae Powers

        What idiotic comments.

      • Matthew George

Vantas perhaps you should learn a little more about American history before you make such comments. I don’t despise most Republicans because they are Republican, I despise them because they vocally discredit global warming, they are for restricting immigration, they are moral hypocrites, they love to kill wildlife and destroy natural habitats, they believe in drilling for oil over pursuing renewable energy sources, and put religion ahead of science.

      • PegasusWing

We do not judge each other by political party, but bigots join the repugs. Repugs put in office the men who get fat on corporate bribes, start wars for profit, trample on the civil rights of others, export American industry, put people out of work, then complain about programs to feed poor people, cut funds for the sick and infirm; in fact, anyone who can not fight back, cut funds for education, and show how American they are by flying Nazi flags.

    • Wilma Corbokowski

Col. Ragland … What rights and freedoms has President Obama taken away from Americans? What’s being threatened? He has governed more conservatively than Reagan, given conservatives almost everything they wanted. There is no basis for that rhetoric, it’s being used to scare people who are already afraid of non-whites. And if you’re embracing that rhetoric, if you honestly can’t see the horror in flying the Confederate flag and the Nazi flag, you might have race challenges yourself.

    • stopthelies1

In my view, flying a Confederate flag is the same as flying a Nazi flag. Maybe you don’t realize how many Black people died in our America. It was the same with Native Peoples of America. Yet Americans have the audacity to yell “God Bless America” when we have shed so much blood to be here. We should be yelliing, “God Forgive America.”

Actually, colonel, under Hitler Germans, who had been disarmed under the Versailles Treaty, were allowed to have rifles without restriction (except of course for Jews) and restrictions on the ownership of pistols were loosened considerably. This was done in 1938.

  • Ken

There is NO excuse for this behavior. He hates Obama? Fine. He has that right. But displaying this relic which represents hatred, murder, genocide and host of other hateful adjectives towards a race of people is NOT okay. Barack Obama is NOT the enemy of this country. Corporate raiders are using their money as muscle to fund all types of people and ideas which are undermining the progress we must take to keep America a viable and relevant power. But cowards like the Koch brothers and others are using the fact we elected a Black president to advance their anti-American agenda, all the while claiming it is in our best interest.

That’s actually the flag that the American Taliban flies, now.

Why wasn’t this flag put up when Bush attacked the constitution with the Patriot Act? Are you saying that Obama is SOLELY responsible for our loss of freedoms? Idiot.

He should shut up and just play his guitar.

For one, he is killing Americans in other countries with no due process. Throw in NDAA 2012, AUMF 2001, NSA spying, etc.

    • Claregirl

I do not consider an American who goes to the side of Al-Qaeda, and influences other Americans to kill to have any rights to due process. What are you crazy? If it were Bush who did that, he’d be considered a hero. You are full of crap.

  • PegasusWing

As a former marine, he should at least know that the American flag is suppose to be flown higher than any other. The man is an idiot. Of course he knew it is offensive. America is gone, not because of Obama, but because of Nixon, Bush, Reagan, Bush Jr. These were the idiots who sold out to big business. Of all the bribe money coming into Washington DC, the republicans take 75% of it. Repugs vote against health care for the people. Repugs voted for de-regulation of Wall Street. Repugs got us into two wars to increase their income from the war machine. Repugs have given tax breaks to the top 1%, which many have joined since becoming elected. Nixon opened China and repugs have screwed the US with trade deals. Repugs cut food stamps. Repugs are really screwing the country by doubling the interest rate for student loans at a rate 100 times what the gov’t loans money to big banks.

      You speak the total truth.

    • Tye Goeking

You fly the American flag UPSIDE DOWN if you are in distress. You don’t fly the flag of a former U.S. foe. It’s all a bunch of misdirected spiritual materialism anyway. Look how much emotion is stirred up by some cloth and dye, just because it shows a certain color and symbol. Humans are the whiny infants of the Universe.

  • Rothbard

America has the largest prison population for victimless acts that the state sees as unclean behavior, is the biggest warmongering nation on Earth and just like any National socialist state, it’s government has total control over corporations and corporations have total control over government ..Yep, a Nazi flag seems fitting.

    • Asinus

Um. that’s not how Naziism works.

    • Brian

Um, the US Government certainly does not have “total control over Corporations.” That would be akin to Marxism when “Government owns the means of production.” We have NOTHING of the sort in the United States.

On the contrary, Conservatives have moved us closer to Fascism, where Corporations control government. While we don’t technically have Corporate employees sitting in Congress, because of way our campaigns are financed with Corporate dollars, the elected officials who are supposed to be representing We the People are instead representing the best interests of the Monied Class.

Part of the reason we have the largest prison population on the planet is because of the privatization of prisons. Prisoners are a product that earns shareholders money that is paid to them by taxpayers.

      • http://wiseoldsnail.org/ wiseoldsnail

ah, we don’t have corporate ‘employees’ sitting in congress, only sitting on the shoulder of most congresspeople, whispering in their ear … and sitting at the helm of government agencies ::: monsanto occupies the fda

  • Matt Kovach

    what a dumbass

  • TMakonnen

Since Obama has re-upped the Patriot Act TWICE and NDAA indefinite detention of American citizens on American soil (also twice, without using his veto power) WTF are you talking about? How about labeling GMOs, as he promised? How about closing the stain on America that is Guantanamo gulag? How about “the most transparent Presidency America has ever seen” (more classified documents and whistleblower prosecutions than all other Presidents *combined*)? How about the quashing of Occupy (and the 1st amendment along with it)? How about his pitiful explanations of how wholesale invasion of every Americans 4th amendment rights are “up for discussion”? The Obama administration jealously guards it’s right to secrecy; you can’t even challenge PRISM, NDAA, the drone bombing campaign….they’re all secret!! But none of your personal electronic communications are immune from being collected and stored. Indefinitely. YOU and your life are completely transparent to the government. If they investigate you, you can’t even tell a lawyer!!! But their operations are shrouded in secrecy….the exact reverse of what the Constitution takes pains to stipulate. And Obama blithely defends it.

I understand about being loyal to your guy….I voted enthusiastically for Obama in ’08. Donated money, bought a “change has come” wall plate to hang, danced and cried with my friends…..then became disenchanted as I watched the same ols stuff happening. Or getting even worse.

I now believe that the government is in place to maintain their own power, and does not represent us. I will no longer be voting for any Dem/Repub. The “status quo” is killing us…..

    • http://comgen.blogspot.com/ ComGen

“also twice, without using his veto power”
Yes, the House and Senate ” re-upped ” along with Obama’s one vote w/signing statement [NDAA] …..

      • TMakonnen

No….no vote from Obama. Only his veto would have been a vote. His promise to veto it was bullshit. As was his promise not to use extra-constitutional “signing statements” which have no force of law, and of course are not binding on any future Presidents. Remember how Obama railed against Bush’s signing statements, and campaigned on NOT using them?

The government can’t/won’t even define what the terms used in the law (NDAA indefinite detention clause)mean. They refuse to say if the law is being used, has been used, or under what circumstances they would use it. But why should you even worry? Obama signed a (meaningless) signing statement (which he promised he would not) because he didn’t cast his veto (as he promised to) against the law!! Confused yet?

        • http://comgen.blogspot.com/ ComGen

When bills pass with nearly full support of both house and senate it is generally considered ” the will of the people ” and any sitting President would be hesitant of challenging or foolish–political suicide to do so. Even with a veto with the support several of the bills had, his veto would have been bypassed by an easy 2/3rd majority. Not justifying per se, just clarifying the general bill to law process. The way I first read your comment above it came across as the blame falls 100% on Obama and you expect a President of the United States to be a dictator. Fact is the Congress holds most of the say and controls the purse strings for things such as war. Obama just like any President before [ future included ] and politicians in general….I have never in my entire life witnessed or even read about in history a politician that has ever kept or honored every campaign promises or ideal. At best maybe 25% of what they run on ever see the light of day.

          • TMakonnen

There are different kinds of promises….nobody expects a president to fulfill certain promises; exploring mars or some other lofty goal. Obama has gone directly against the very spirit of his promises: cloaking the government in more secrecy than we had under Bush, rushing to assure us that we must give up rights if we are to be “secure”. So what if there’s only a one-in-twenty million chance of dying by terror? The man is a complete fraud, his word means nothing.

The veto is traditionally used symbolically. The symbolism of Obama NOT using his veto on an issue that impelled him to write a “signing statement” (which is anathema to any constitutional scholar) is heavy with the reversal of Obama as cape-wearing savior who saves america from Bush. Obama is the new Bush. All Obama had to do is say ” I will veto any bill which allows for the indefinite military detention of Americans by the military, it’s Totalitarianism!” Of course he didn’t, though he promised to veto the bill. Where are the principals he campaigned on? This is far different than promising new bridges or bus service. This is a sell-out of freedom, and one of several.

I notice your reply is totally devoid of any substance relating to the acts of commission by Obama curtailing or eliminating rights. So you sort of defend him, just on bland general terms which are meaningless. It reminds me of listening to President Transparency himself: glib assurance and smooth pseudo-progressive melliflouosness devoid of reality. He stands for nothing he stood for when campaigning. Or have you forgotten already?

      • http://wiseoldsnail.org/ wiseoldsnail

you don’t seem to understand the supposed balance of powers : obama should’ve vetoed these bills … if he had, his vetoes could likely not have been overridden and we would be out from under the shadow of the ndaa and the patriot act.

  • stickly

Its funny how pathetic all of you are to actually patronize this man. Probable the same ones fighting for gay marriage, to get woman in combat arms, that got gays in the military, or stopping illegal immigration but yet if it was your family you would do the same. Maybe most of you if you took a step back and look your not a perfect circle like you may portray to be. Your most likely ruff around the edges with your own demons, morals, and beliefs just like the rest of us. Maybe you’ve done something that was frowned upon but it was still something you believed in, but who knows. We will never agree with half the shit that goes on in this messed up world, but still yet no matter how much we talk or do nothing ever changes. Were just small fish in a big fish pond. Any day all this could be taken away in an instance. So why cant we just enjoy our rights and embrace the fact that people are different, and if its not hurting any one then why does it matter. Were all in a America where people are not grateful for anything and its sad. Most people don’t even realize how lucky we really are till you step foot in Iraq or Afghanistan, and then you see what having no rights really is. So rather than complaining about a meaningless piece of nylon, why don’t we just be thankful that we still have the right to stand out or be different if we want.

    • Deirdre Doyle

Wow. You think OTHER people are pathetic. It’s nice to have such robust self-esteem, I guess.

    • Ben Shipp

This in its self, is the highest form of bigotry I have ever seen in my life. See, if your going to try and be smart, witty, or half-way philosophical, make sure you don’t contradict yourself as many times as you just did.

      He is not an idiot.
And since you did not make the statement. You do not have to apologize for him. Or anyone else.

  • Richard Lionheart

This man has the right to fly any flag he wants. Last time I check we live in a free country. I see flags of all different kinds flying in this great country of ours. Personally I think the only flag that should be put up is the American flag. But we as the people of the Unites States of America have the right to do so. More people should speak out like this man because we are losing more and more of our freedoms everyday. It’s a shame what is happening to this great land of ours. People also have the right to disagree but shouldn’t be able to shut down only one side of the disagreement. Because everyone has a voice for their own opinion that is what make are country different from any other in the world.

    • Ian Osmond

“Having the right to do something” does not imply “should do something.”

We should not have a government which should prevent this. Nonetheless, citizens should have, in their own hearts, an understanding of why they oughtn’t.

    • Todd Lau

      Richard,
I completely agree with you on all points.
Also, do not forget he is a former US Marine, so he has fought for the freedoms of all of us..
So he has earned the right to fly any flags he wants in front of his own house.
And he is not racist, he is doing it in protest to how similar obomo and his regime are to hitler
      and his Nazi party.
Pay attention and listen to what he said, he made his statement as to why he did it,
and that is the reason, no more, no less, do NOT breathe anything more into it.
I support him and what he is doing.
God bless him, now and forever!
      God bless America!!

Any intelligent remarks or just picking apart a typo? Can you really not see how America’s foreign policy is similar to Nazis? This isn’t even about Obama. This is about the foreign policy that America has had for like the past 40 years. You’re wasting your time taking part in the divide and conquer tactic that is the right vs left. Bush was a moron, Obama is an evil smooth talker (as long as he has the words in front of him), but they both have the same puppeteers.

Richard, which one of your freedoms has been taken away since Obama admin? You want to talk about your freedom being taken away (or not there to begin with), try to live in Nigeria or China then you can come back and repost.

      • Kelly England McDonald

Well, let’s start with 1st Amendment when 14 year old’s can get arrested and threatened with 1 year in jail for refusing to change a T-shirt, which did not violate school dress code, because the people around him are so PC they have no common sense…children are suspended for threatening pop tarts, cup cakes, sign language of their names then there is definitely an erosion of our Freedom and Rights. These are just a few examples of what are happening to children,,,, The Constitution specifically Amendments 1 – 5 have been under attack the last 4+ years.

        • smallfootprintmama

What you have described are “attacks” by your fellow townspeople who work for the local schools and school board. These are not violations perpetrated by the federal government or even the state government, which are given their authority by the Constitution.

You need to take this “erosion of rights” up with your own community and neighbors, not Obama.

          • http://wiseoldsnail.org/ wiseoldsnail

ah … how about cia, nsa, fbi involvement in completely eliminating the right of people to assemble and protest … planning extra-judicial executions for that … we all call that erosion of rights

        • Rio Hioe

Errr…your example is/ are local or state level at best and has nothing to do with what we discussed. Any example of our rights revoked by the gov’t?

    • kmacca

He absolutely has the right to put up any flag he wants.
We also absolutely have the right to say that he is disgusting.
Freedom of speech goes both ways – it doesn’t mean you get to say terrible things and everyone must stay silent. You can say terrible things, and people can say how wrong they think you are.

  • donmilliken

Yes, fly an Israeli flag next to Nazi flag. That’ll make everything better.

Lord, save us from the political activism of morons.

idk why everyone keeps saying america is gone it still seems to be here to me and im pretty sure we are still the best in the world people need to realize things change and thats what america is doing changing lol and this man is a fucking idiot and hes a racist no matter what he says cause if he wasnt racist he would not feel the need to put up a nazi flag

  • Rebecca Smith

Well I say this the fact this person says the truth makes this not so pathetic…what stickly is saying we are spoiled in this country if you don’t like it change it so we all get more of what we need. there are many things going on in our fine country would make you cry, so do not say what you don’t know. I am so tired of people making big deals about things when we have way bigger problems, like hunger, people who have their right taken away at a drop of a hat, unequal practices when there should not be. Read the article it raises questions Americans won’t look at because not knowing is better right? not really it is not going to change until we believe there is a problem. Get with it there i a problem. Does not always belong to the President, but we need him to see the problems and really address them for us to see it.

The government isn’t doing what Muffin wants. They must be fascist dictators. Waah, poor muffin. Maybe you can get Obama voted out next election cycle. There was no voting Hitler out and a political statement like Muffin’s in Nazi Germany would have garnered a visit from the Gestapo.
There is no comparison between the current American administration and the evil perpetrated by the Nazis. A statement like this only minimizes that evil.

Disrespectful to those who fought and survived, those who fought and died…and the families they left behind. I noticed he’s 73 years old. Don’t imagine he actually fought the Nazis like many who survive in America today. My dad was one along with several acquaintances among the greatest generation. There’s a lot of folks still living who could certainly enlighten this moron about the differences between Nazi Germany and America today. I’m sure Jews will be thrilled to have the Star of David flying next to the Nazi flag. What an idiot.

The point the man, who by the way served THIS Country in the Marines, is trying to make is that obama is a dictator..TRUE WORDS….he has done nothing but lie and run rough shod over the Constitution…cutting services to the military while arming our enemies and declaring the war on terror OVER all the while supporting terrorists with OUR tax $$$…not to mention their extravagant lifestyle on OUR dime,,100 million for a vacation but the White House is closed due to “sequester”..and his “wife” telling Americans someone must give up some of their pie for others…EVERYTHING he’s done and is doing and plans to do is done to weaken and ultimately to destroy America turning us into another 3rd World Country so his buddies can come in and buy it all up……Yeah,…so I think comparisons of obama to Hitler are accurate.
He deserves prison time for the damage he’s done to this Country…We have NEVER been more divided along every possible line….The rest of the World SEES him for what he is…a Tyrant but the people here although they are living with his corrupt oppressive policies don’t get it……DUH!!! Wake up people!!!

      • Robert Little

You say Obama is a dictator and has run roughshod over the Constitution. I have a few questions –

        1. What is your basis for comparison?
        2. What sections of the Constitution has Obama run over that the previous administration(s) haven’t?
        3. With regards to question 1, can you provide citations that provide proof that he has done things that rate such a designation, i.e., has members of the citizenry been imprisoned for taking opposing political views, have prison camps been constructed where average Americans are being held, have para-military police forces been been deployed to squelch protests?
        4. Aside from Irish MP Clare Daly’s recent rant, can you provide more examples of Obama being called a tyrant abroad?

Hop to it, now, I want answers.

  • John Coctostan

the reaction of the right is not surprising here – their hatred of our democratically elected President is so strong they are willing to support a man showing public support of a regime that murdered 6+ million people because of their religion and went to war with the United States. There is absolutely no defense for flying a Nazi flag, ANYWHERE or for any reason. The flag represents murder, hatred and bigotry to the most extreme level the world has ever seen, and the right wants to compare that to a President who helped us join the rest of the world in having health care for all citizens, has cut taxes and rebuild our economy. It would be funny if it weren’t so sad and pathetic.

    • Monastery

Dumbass, did you feel that way about Reagan, Bush Sr. or Bush Jr.?

Incidentally, the Nazis were a leftist political party. You’re aware of that, right?

      • emile chogan

you are mistaken. the nazi party was a radical right wing centrist party. european political scale is vastly different than american political scales. the right wing are more socialistic while the left believe in liberalism (free market capitalism). republicans over here like to call them leftists because they are unaware of what a right wing extremist party is. FASCISM. doesn’t matter its leftist or rightist… it’s totalitarian governance. i find this story hilarious and i don’t get offended by things that are of little to no importance. i have been angry ever since i went to a high school in texas and had to suffer through bush’s incompetence and i’ve dealt with hostile right wingers. the GOP will never have popular support. the majority is moderate and for the most part not extreme right or left. but the GOP was taken over by evangelicals and claim theyre under attack… they haven’t any moral standing. while the left is just idiotic.

      • John Coctostan

wrong, the Nazi’s were right wing, which is why the right embraces them so much. Nice try thought. Glad to see you support the policies of Hitler. http://www.oldamericancentury.org/whitepapers/defining/leftwing_or_rightwing.htm

      • Cosmic_Surfer

Try reading a bit on philosophy and educating yourself.. It comes from a corporatist base mixed with nationalism…socialism is direct opposite. neo-liberal and corporatism are brothers…Reagan, was a neo-liberal (economics) and neo-conservative (social policy)

Not liberal, not leftist…not middle of the road…corporatism is a corruption of the state – corporate mixed with government = fascism coming from the fasces. Fascism coined by Mussolini – a corporatist..

Franco, Hitler, Mussolini were the 3 Fascist dictators…Franco’s “war” or the Spanish Revolution was the socialists attempt to overthrow the Fascist regime.

    • Cid Vicious

My only assumption is Joseph’s message to all, is if we continue on the path…..we will be the next Nazi’s of the world. We are slowly going toward dictatorship and martial law. Not only that “our” GOV puts it’s nose in other countries business when it shouldn’t. Just wait until our GOV starts chipping us, I assure you will start thinking differently after that. But I am am saying all of this in a sincere way, I really hope we all come out of this.

But regarding how our president saved us in health care and cutting taxes is completely false. Taxes have gone up, and I am “forced” to pay for high cost health care. Do you think I enjoy paying over $450 a month to cover my family? I am a Navy veteran and I have to pay again for something I have already earned. You have not seen where our president has wasted our tax money on ridiculous programs. And to add the gov will purchase 1 uniform for all 5 military branches us costing millions. So ask your self why are they doing that? If we reflect on our past….look at the Nazi’s.

      • Kelly England McDonald

Thank you for your service to this Country. You, your family and all other military past, present and future deserve MUCH better treatment that you have received during the last 4+ years of Zero’s Reign….I honestly can’t believe there are people like John who can’t see the forest for the trees….either he’s on welfare so the rising costs don’t effect him or he really enjoys the reality altering taste of the BS flavored Kool-aid that the sheep chug.

        • John Coctostan

actually I’ve seen my salary, professional career and standard of living skyrocket since President Obama was elected, as has my wife. Life is good. I’m sorry that you and other right wingers are so dependent on government for your self satisfaction that you wallow in such misery and hate these days.

        • Cid Vicious

You are welcome Kelly and thank you for honoring us as well, it really means alot to us. Personally I think most of us are misinformed about what is going on. There are so many circumstances floating around. As of the posts I see on here it’s good to show pride in our country, I love my country. In reality most countries are good, generally the people are. It’s just that the governments that rule them tend to make actions the people disagree with. In this case, it’s too bad many fall for the media tactics and propaganda on the internet. People need to do they’re research and wake up before making false assumptions. All I ask everyone is to stop blaming each other and demand truth from the GOV about the motives they proceed upon.

      • http://wiseoldsnail.org/ wiseoldsnail

sorry for how you’re being treated … and i don’t know what war you’re a veteran of, but bush sent soldiers into illegal wars based on lies. i’m no obama supporter, but nothing anyone can say will convince me we had any better choice with romney. at least in california i could lodge my protest by voting for neither, knowing romney had no chance here.

we’ve all been paying the high cost of health care for decades … while it was controlled completely by for-profit insurance companies. it wasn’t working. straightforward single payer coverage for everyone would work, but the right wing, who claim reagan as their leader but shun a program he supported, refuse to support health care for all.

the real losses are soldiers killed in action in illegal wars, soldiers coming home destroyed with guilt for following orders … civilians all over afghanistan and iraq, gaza, and soon syria dead or maimed by u.s. drones …

we should take care of our soldiers by first keeping them home when there is no reason to go to war.

I’m sorry, did you just say Obama has cut taxes? I don’t know about you, but myself and 77% of Americans are payin more in taxes now! And when obamacare hits, we will have crappy service and will pay 150% more on average for healthcare! Nothing free about it. I’d pick apart the rest of your unintelligent thoughts and arguments, but you’re probably too stupid to understand it and would resort to calling me racist because I disagree with you and presented the facts.

    • carolb

You forgot to mention the millions of people the US drones have killed, not to mention our children being killed in these wars and the abortions that kill millions more. Your president – the humanitarian.

      • coytebob77

Millions killed by drones? Millions? His allowing the drone program to continue is just about the ONLY thing he has done right while pretending to be president. What’s you’re alternative? Full scale invasion or full scale bombing? Maybe just ignoring the problem until it knocks on your front door would be more to your liking.

      • http://wiseoldsnail.org/ wiseoldsnail

agree about drones and war. 56,369,475 abortions since roe v wade … hardly empowers you to blame ‘abortions that kill millions more’ on obama. with one of the world’s largest populations, we have 2000 abortions today, compared with 69,000 worldwide. abortion is sad, but there are many, many more homeless children and children living in poverty in the u.s. today. what are you doing about that? do you think those 2000 or 69,000 should have been born into the poverty the world has to offer?

      • Cosmic_Surfer

Doll – you know sperm and ovum are not viable lives. They have to meet up and merge, gestate to term and go through birth process. That is the law and has been for longer than you have been a product of a sperm/ovum get together.

By the way – abortion numbers down…not because of the stupidity of misogynists and their forced enslavement of women along with their fearful, uninformed followers but because contraception and sex education have come back.

    • Kelly England McDonald

I don’t even know where to begin in response to your comment……??

DO you LIVE in The United States of America ???? Surely, you do not.

    • coytebob77

Kelly’s right, response to that kind of ignorance you display John makes it difficult to know where to begin. I guess you’ve been vacationing on Planet Libtard until yesterday and haven’t had a chance to read a newspaper or see a news program. Taxes are going up – way up. By “rest of the world I can only surmise that you mean the quasi-Socialist countries of Europe. Here’s a news flash for you, they’re going broke faster than we are. Our moronic, impostor of a “president” is being mocked and shunned by leaders the world over as our hard earned money is being given away to muslim fascists. Suffice to say – you have a lot of catching up to do.

Actually gadsdengurl is right. It has nothing to do with Obama per-se. It has to do with a trend in Politics. Changes which have accelerated with Bush and now Obama post 9/11.

Obama is just another Bush doing the bidding of his advisors.

He put In the Patriot Act which wiretapped our phones and took away our rights, even in the Library!! He took the Stock market down to $6600 , ruining our retirement money. YET—-all of a sudden, 56 days into Obama’s administration, you decided to put on your little Ben Franklin outfits with your misspelled racist signs, and take to the streets. And because you had nothing yet to blame on him—you started with his Birth Certificate and his religion @! YOU GROW UP, you phony, fake Christian loser.

    • Robert Little

      Okay, I’ll play this game.
So what you’re saying is that the US suffered a humiliating military loss at a great cost, both physically and morally, and were forced, by treaty, to pay billions upon billions of dollars to the victors. Our government, as a result, went through multiple upheavals in a span of around a decade, right? In the meantime, our currency hit such a hard rock bottom that it was essentially useless, and our people were forced to eat horses while paying thousands of dollars for things like milk and bread.
If that’s the case, you’re totally correct.

  • Maureen Mower

coyote – please, you have zero knowledge of what socialism is. You speak only what they tell you to say. Do you have any proof of socialism?

      • roninbear

Socialism: Are you tired of having a fire department? A police department? Ambulance services? Social Security and Medicaid? There are certain things that have to be paid for by everyone, and a certain amount of socialism is not only acceptable, but necessary to a functioning society. Pure capitalism is as damaging to society as pure Communism, pure Socialism, or pure anything. If this was a purely capitalistic country, most of our people would be making the same wages that are acceptable in 3rd world nations, and about one percent of the population would even be making a livable wage. We aren’t too far from it now, but at least we have the ability to demand raises in the minimum wage (also socialism) and benefits (socialism) for employees. Benefits are a kind of corporate socialism, but they are still socialist in nature.

    • Bonnie Bates

No, actually. We are the smart ones, the ones who happen to know our history and who have learned from it. The surest proof of that is we did NOT vote for him.

      • Jay

@Bonnie – kept thinking that, which shows me you have an inability to look at issues clearly and with coherent logical comprehension.

        • Bonnie Bates

Well, knowing nothing about me, you are mistaken. And as I know nothing about you other than your tendency to be derogatory and damning rather than willing to create a dialog, it appears responding to you is simply a waste of time and energy.

          • http://wiseoldsnail.org/ wiseoldsnail

who’s bonnie? ‘we are the smart ones’ is generally derogatory toward anyone the speaker does not include in ‘we’ …

      • Joris Heise

“…the ones who happen to know our history…”? what are you talking about? History suggests that this man is showing prejudice by waving the flag of a super-super-hating-prejudiced “party” that took over a country and a continent and used that hatred to get millions of people killed. I am very curious what you think you have learned from history that contributes here. Anyone with a sense of history needs to acknowledge that all this ranting about a “socialist take over” is exaggeration at best, and simply false and a lie at worst. History tells us what Socialism IS, and this ain’t that.

        • Bonnie Bates

Well, actually, it appears your “interpretation” that makes it appear he is showing prejudice. and your “interpretation” is based on your experience and observation. However, that does not make it reality. As the gentleman indicated, he is only just beginning with the flag display. Perhaps it would have been less controversial had he collected all the flags before displaying them, but it seems, these days particularly, people are always more than willing to jump to the worst possible conclusion, be they favoring the left or the right. What I “think” I have learned from history? Well, no matter what I might say, you will determine that it is still inadequate, so it is mute. While the left purports the ‘pie in the sky’ ideals that, quite honestly I think most might LIKE to see become a reality, the only thing standing between now and the “utopia” is human nature. Be it left- or right-leaning, human nature does not change.

          • Joris Heise

Thank you for your gentle response. It seems clear that someone putting up a Nazi Swastika is trying to make a very, very vivid point, based on the history of that flag. What is his point, that point? Is the point simply to say “Nazi” with a flag? Or does he want to say (as suggested by the accompanying words) that he thinks of the current President of the United States as some kind of Nazi? If that is his point, he has all the freedom in the world to say so, and our Presidents have tolerated a long list of epithets (as the Lincoln Museum in Springfield IL attests). But just as those epithets saw that President as a baboon, n-lover, and worse, they were “prejudicial,” in the sense that they made a judgement–a “pre-“judgment (prejudice)–based on inadequate knowledge of Lincoln’s character, his patience, his wisdom and his moral standards. Yes, I believe that our flag-waver here is doing the same thing–pre-judging.

Your comment and refusal to furnish what you learned from history puzzles me. I KNOW history to be selectively written by winners, that few of us are scholars, and so on, but the broader brushes of history are clear and my question had to do with why history prompts you to equate (your) ‘knowing history’ with ‘not voting for him.” Surely there is some fundamental point or two of history you can name that you have learned from. I fear that, like extremists who avoid specifics because they are so often wrong, you avoid and evade answering because you fear the pin-downable specifics (i.e., the claim that he is a Moslem or Socialist) may show yourself absurd to most commonsense people, and you find yourself out on the fringes of truth, rather than peacefully at its core.
Finally, as a liberal, I love to listen to people who disagree with me. You enrich me with your point of view BECAUSE you disagree with me. So often people agree (e.g. “dittoheads”) without realizing half of what they are agreeing with.

          • Bonnie

If the only flag was a Nazi flag then I could understand the assumption that this person was making a statement of support for it. But had I driven by and seen an odd assortment of flags, my thought might have been more along the line of, that’s odd. I wonder what he is trying to say. And had he been available, I would have asked. As to refusing to furnish what I have learned from History, a simple perusal of the responses on this site indicates a tone of less than civilized discussion.
To that, I majored in History in college, primarily ancient and medieval studies. I read voraciously and have my entire life. I was raised in Japan and remember coming to the US, and lived in the American South until my father retired to Arizona. I went into military service and did tours in what was then West Germany and in any spare time I jumped in my car and traveled throughout Europe. Also did a couple of tours to South Korea and, finally, the United Kingdom during the first Gulf War. While in England I visited Kenya and traveled twice to Egypt. Learning what languages I could, I predominantly traveled on my own and found kindness and civility everywhere. It was a matter of 1- Realizing that the country I was in was NOT the US, 2- Treating people with respect.
As far as an extremist, I do not believe I qualify, unless it involves cruelty to animals or children. As for some fundamental point or two of history, primarily it is that once a civilization reaches a certain point in its growth, things change from subsistence to convenience being the primary focus. As Ancient Rome had its ‘Bread and Circuses’ modern-day America has its ‘Welfare and Entertainment’. The Roman population had reached a point where the leaders were no longer able to channel frustrations and dissatisfaction outward. Fearing a revolt and overthrow, free food and wine and free public entertainment diverted the people’s attention and put off, for a while, the inevitable. So, too, what began as a sincere attempt to help widows and orphans soon morphed into a means of generating more money for more pet projects.
And as much as LBJ hated Blacks, I think the expansion of the welfare state, under the guise of supporting the Civil Rights Movement, was his means of subtly undermining the self-respect and true advancement of the Black community. For a ‘welfare’ mentality does rob one of a sense of pride in accomplishment. People rarely value something they are given as much as the do something that has been earned.
I decry the takeover of the conservative/Republican Party by the Christian right. It is a huge error and goes directly against what the country was founded upon. I find it absurd that there is even a discussion about abortion because of the numerous means of preventing the occurrence in the first place. And until a man carries a fetus to term he does not have the right to tell me what I can and cannot do with my body. As for gay/lesbian rights? Guaranteed by the Constitution as they are citizens of the US. That this has to be argued before the Supreme Court is almost laughable.
But then again, I find it equally as foolish to require seat belts. Or to put labels on blow dryers stating, “Do not use in bed under covers,” yet all it took was one idiot winning a lawsuit in a liberal court and that’s what we have. The more we rely upon “government” or “automobiles” or whatever other devices appear to make “us safer,” the less aware we are of taking responsibility for our own safety and the more dangerous situations become. Anyway, I digress.
Upon my return to the US I was shocked at the pace of life and the rampant materialism. Mostly what shocked me was the nightly news, which had turned into simply one more means of entertaining a bored populace. My perspective is guided by my reading of history, among other subjects, my formal study of history, my travel, my experiences in the military and out.
And I find it amazing that we fail time and time again, to learn from the mistakes of our past, or of the failing socialism currently occurring around the world. The problem is not one president or one congress, or attacks on religion, or media. The problem is more a loss of focus on one another. On being more aware of the neighbor down the street than what’s happening in India.
So as a fiscal conservative, the idea of repealing the very laws enacted after the Great Crash of 1929 was ludicrous. And sure enough, greed and failure to learn from the past repeated itself. With a great deal of assist from government officials with quotes like, “A person should be able to live in a house he cannot afford.” No, I do not remember the specific individual, but I remember laughing out loud when the statement was made.
America is so filled with people trying to get rich quick that we seem to have skipped a number of steps along the way. Like civility, respect for another’s views, religion, space. A willingness to work hard to gain something. Now kids expect the BMW out of college. And a few months after paying $500 dollars for a phone, queue up to pay yet another $500 for the newest phone. A loss of focus, civility, respect. And a tremendous willingness to jump to inaccurate conclusions and to vilify someone simply because the disagree with your perspective. Such as the gentleman and his flags. The postings are harsh and cruel, with treason and religion and slaughter interspersed where they truly do not belong.
We tend to leap with out looking, simply assuming the landing will be soft because we are RIGHT! We act without thinking. That rarely leads to something good.
Thank you for your cordial response and I apologize for the length of my response. But it is Sunday and the overcast that has moved in has brought the temps down from 117 to a balmy 109, so I guess I am in a talkative mood. Best of life to you, sir.

What an excellent attempt at justification of this man’s ridiculous actions. But no cigar for the thinking folks.

  • Joris Heise

Hatred towards anyone is a sign that the person has missed the message of Jesus. The really wrong flag, perhaps, is the Vatican one. It suggests that he belongs to a Christian group.

    • Bonnie Bates

So what if he does? The Vatican is also a country.

      • Joris Heise

Hmmm, I said, first of all, that it ‘SUGGESTS”–NOT THAT HE IS, WAS OR WILL BE a Christian. Secondly, we know the Vatican is a country, but that seems irrelevant here as the only other “country” flag seems to be the American one–and that suggests patriotism. I am wondering whether your remark is a some kind of red herring to distract from the general pattern of prejudice he seems to be promoting.

Citizens ignorant of our current policy will completely miss the deeper meaning here. America is slipping into communism and he’s just choosing a very controversial way to bring attention to it. The part where he’s missing the mark is blaming this on Obama. These are issues that Bush had as well. I pray in 2016 Americans pay attention to who’s contributing to presidential candidates campaigns. Goldman Sachs owned Obama AND Romney. Who will own our president in 2016? Will it be the people or special interest groups again?

It is people like this man, exercising his right to post whatever flag he wishes as HIS show of non-favoritism. The USA certainly had its share of problems prior to POLITICAL CORRECTNESS, but PC has totally castrated and eviscerated what the US used to stand for – the right to express your opinions in a manner caused no injury to anyone. And people USED to be responsible for their own feelings rather than blaming them on everything BUT themselves. But, hey, you guys are only now beginning to experience what it is like to actually live in a multi-cultural country. Rapes, shootings, murder, ignorant people with no respect for the laws of the country they immigrated to legally or illegally. And I don’t see you handling it very well now that the pristine white homogeneity of culture has been invaded. How you liking it now?

      • Joris Heise

As liberal as they come, I say “Fly the Flag!” Tell everyone your free speech that you claim Nazi principles along with American ones (two of the flags), and let the viewer decide. Yes, that is our country, which we cherish. “the “white homogeneity of culture”? Wow! Where did you get your history from?

Its his home,so therefore according to that famous old document called the constitution he can fly whichever flag he desires. ITS CALLED FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
SERIOUSLY,YOUR NOT GOING TO GO AND TELL A PERSON FROM SAUDI, OR AFGHANISTAN THEY CAN’T FLY THEIR FLAGS.

  • Allyson Ware-Aldridge

Have you traveled anywhere else? I don’t know why people are so hell bent on saying “America is the greatest country in the world”. How could any country make such a bold statement? And in our case, we are the war mongers of the world. That is how we are seen throughout the globe: AS MURDERERS!! And the “changing” is not for the good. Our country is moving towards communism and that’s the point this man is making here. Where he’s wrong in my opinion, is blaming this on Obama. He needs to look at some of the laws that were passed while Bush was President. It’s the same damn strategy implemented through the right and the left.

  • Ringo Juna

I can’t wait until people like him remove themselves from the gene pool for good. Think of all the things we could accomplish without these teabaggin’ asshats around to fuck everything up.

  • PamB1

Please don’t judge CT residents by this old white piece of racist trash Most of us are open, caring, diverse thinking people. Until this older generation of racist bigots finally die off, we will be subjected to pigs like this. What Nazi stuff is he thinking of—his SS? His Medicare? His children and grandkids now being able to obtain Health Insurance with no limits, no pre-ex? Maybe his elderly wife being awarded some dignity in her health and welfare? I don’t mind if people do not like Pres. Obama—what I do not like is their Lies of WHY!

    • roninbear

Well, now that you put it that way, he probably is thinking about his SS. I mean, just saying.

  • PamB1

Have you SEEN an Afghan or Saudi flying their flags in this country??? Me thinks you are just another little bigot, with no guts to say so.

    • Haut eightyeight

Yes,I have. As well as from Mexico who did invade the U.S way back when.

  • PamB1

uhhhh, Obama received next to nothing from Wall Street and Banks last time around. check it out.

  • PamB1

You don’t think there are some Republicans out there, who do not find this Racist extremely offensive and mentally ill? He doesn’t want the Jews to be mad at him, because Jesus was a Jew? I don’t want his house burned, I just want the men with the buttefly nets to go get him.

    • http://wiseoldsnail.org/ wiseoldsnail

so you believe the man should be incarcerated because of doing something with which you disagree? i disagree … but i’d rather see people who believe others should be incarcerated for their ideas locked up than the other way ’round.

  • Steve Schrom

its so easy just to call someone a racist instead of actually probing the actual issue

    • Neva Rae Powers

      Probing the actual issue???????

  • Hamcop

Amazing how you liberal douchesicles claim it’s “Free Speech” when you say something but if somebody has a opinion you don’t agree with they are (pick your term) racist, crazy, etc.
Can’t have it both ways Obamanuts.

    • Shanasmiles

It is his right to display any flag he chooses. Rights do not mean you are exempt from criticism. It’s also the rights of others to comment on anything they choose. As you say when people don’t agree with you, you call them names…like douchesicle. So you must be a liberal.

      • SWEETSWOO

How can you even suggest this is a right? What has happened to this country? That symbol is a slap in the face to AMERICANS! Anyone defending the NAZI flag as freedom of speech should have their heads examined. That Flag is a symbol of EVIL and DEATH! Adolf Hitler killed millions upon millions of people.. many Americans.. you have the NERVE To use the Freedom of speech garbage you stupid moron!

        • Alice Zindagi Pua

If you have the right to say what you please in protesting him, he also has the same right (aside from legitimate threats to bodily harm, of course, which a flag is not). You don’t agree with him. I don’t agree with him. But just because you disagree with someone doesn’t mean you get to revoke their First Amendment rights. As the great Voltaire is alleged to have said, “I may disagree with what you are saying, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”

Aside from the obvious fact that a swastika is actually a religious symbol stolen and misappropriated by the Nazi party and that suggesting we ban it or discourage its use is tantamount to banning the Christian cross (also used as a symbol of hate by the KKK), I would also like to point out that a Jolly Roger is a symbol of evil, death, rape, plunder, and robbery, and yet we freely fly it.

          • http://wiseoldsnail.org/ wiseoldsnail

thank you. took the words right outta my mouth.

    • Tim Coyle

free speech does include being able to speak out against ignorant people like this guy. no matter the political party, no matter the race, flying a Nazi flag is horrific. Why not burn a cross and hang a rope from a tree as well, and claim its just free speech and act shocked it offends people.

    • Cosmic_Surfer

Oh, I’m sorry – Freedom of speech, patriotism, constitutional rights are only your purview. Sorry we intruded on your exceptionalist ideologue’s bubble. oh God of American political correctness

    • http://wiseoldsnail.org/ wiseoldsnail

ah, what does saying an action is racist have to do with free speech? duh. nobody is saying this old jerk should go to jail for flying the nazi flag, only that flying it is a very bad and stupid idea.

    • GOD

      you my friend are retarded

  • http://www.simplehelp.net/ Ross McKillop

@michael_thornton:disqus – Why would you compare the flags of two countries, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan, to the flag of a hateful political party? You’re comparing the people of those countries to Nazis. You too just told everyone reading this that you hide your racism behind a piece of paper authored by a bunch of slave-owning white men.

    • http://wiseoldsnail.org/ wiseoldsnail

what kind of sense does this make? he wasn’t comparing people to people, but defending any person’s the right to fly whatever flag they wish to fly.

  • Shanasmiles

Yeah because the confederate flag and nazi flag are just his heritage…

  • Shanasmiles

It is his right to fly any flag he chooses and no one should stop him. However, everyone has rights to free speech not just old white dudes. Therefore, people have a RIGHT to voice their opinions. Your right to freedom of speech does not mean that you have freedom from criticism.

    • Haut eightyeight

This is true and I have no problems with that. We can always take someones opinion or not.

  • SWEETSWOO

That symbol is a slap in the face to AMERICANS! Anyone defending the NAZI flag as freedom of speech should have their heads examined. That Flag is a symbol of EVIL and DEATH! The Japanese, the Koreans, The Vietnamese the Afghan’s the Mexican the British and anyone else we may have been at wars besides the Nazis who were the most hated because of their political narrow minded racist views let us not forget the Confederate flag stands for the same as the Nazi flag. Why don’t he just hang them all along with pictures of the Republican party all who at one time or still are an enemy to the United States. And by the way I’m not angry or even opalled by this man’s action to fly the Nazi flag its not like racism didn’t exist in this country but just like the Nazi’s those who are wear it proud on there chest and don’t care who know
it at lest we know who they are even if they don’t wave a flag or wear white hoods to many of them have creeped into our political system and that in itself is keeping the fires burning for the ignorance that is racism. Will this country ever become a great nation in itself or will we continue to look the way and keep accepting things the way they are united we stand divided we fall.

  • SWEETSWOO

    • http://www.tumblr.com/blog/akinsc Carla

Originally I had the same thought but clearly he can care for himself and cares for his home, it’s simply his questionable decision to protest in this manner.

  • SWEETSWOO

You sir are a racist and a NAZI… By posting this flag.. you approved what Adolf Hitler did to the Jews.

    • Editor

You sir are a cretin if you believe or even give a damn about the so-called “Holocaust”

  • smallfootprintmama

Um, we are behind just about every single other developed country in the world now–and several less developed countries too–on infant mortality, health and obesity, cost of healthcare and healthcare outcomes, education, cost of education, minimum wage income, potential for upward mobility, income distribution, tax fairness, and more.

However, we do lead the developed world (indeed most of the world altogether) in crime, murders, prisoners per capita, military spending, teen pregnancy, drug addiction and political corruption…

The U.S. is a dying empire falling quickly behind even countries like Argentina. It is a total myth that we are the best anymore. The only “people” in the U.S. doing consistently and dependably well are corporations, who increasingly answer to no one anywhere.

And this isn’t new; we’ve been headed downward for about 30-35 years now. Were it not for the sovereignty of the Dollar, we’d be little better off than Pakistan.

  • swansend

Lots nazi bashing going on, I see. Wonder how many of them have seen the one and a half hour film, ‘Dark Legacy’ available on Netflix and Youtube.

    • Col.J.Ragland

If JFK was still alive dont think he would still be a dem anymore thats how much of a 180 the party has taken since JFK was pres…Think LBJ was involved with the JFK assassination…But i like conspiracy movies so im going to check it out on netflix..I love to listen to Coast To Coast AM everynight

  • Robert Little

    Okay… let’s get this straight.

The Germans only used that particular flag for a period of ten years, 1935 to 1945, during which time they committed a great many atrocities, many more in fact then the Confederates did during the time that they used that battle flag (five years; yes, that so called “Confederate flag” is the “battle flag of the CSA”, not their national flag. Your point about Saudi or Afghan nationals waving their flag is valid, because those two countries exist. Not so the CSA or Nazi Germany. Those flags are symbols, the latter primarily offensive.

However, be that as it may, yes, no laws were broken, he is within his rights. Please remember all this talk about rights whenever someone builds a mosque in your neighborhood, or spray paints “death to America”, takes to burning American flags, parades in the streets in full Hare Krishna regalia or questions why we are fighting certain wars in a most vocal manner. Freedom of speech, right? Please remember those words whenever you see someone on the opposite side of the political divide expressing theirs.

    • somniferous_almond_eyes

hey, stop that! this is no place to be rational and informed!

…let me see what’s on faux news today..

      • http://wiseoldsnail.org/ wiseoldsnail

        aaaaahahahahahaha!

    • Haut eightyeight

Look I live in San Francisco you have to let everyone do their own thing. Hell obviously I do, look @ the city I live in. Further the ” hated symbol” is a Sun wheel and per-dates Nazi Germany.

  • THL

Only those who are interested in the truth will take the time to investigate to see whether their own first impressions about someone else’s actions, of any kind, are actually true — and modify that impression once learning the actioner’s true intent. To make a first impression and believe it without bothering to investigate, is the kind of person who is satisfied with falsity, being unconcerned with due process or authenticity.

  • http://wiseoldsnail.org/ wiseoldsnail

hilarious that the ol’ geezer doesn’t realize that the nazi flag is presently an apt replacement for the nazi zionist israeli regime. the two flags are now interchangeable.

    • Elliott

Classic Anti-semitic post – thanks for providing the stellar example!!

      • http://wiseoldsnail.org/ wiseoldsnail

you can call me anti-zionist, because that is what i am. millions of jews around the world agree with me. i said nothing of jews, now, did i? i said ZIONIST ISRAELI REGIME.

        • Elliott

I’ll let the word of Martin Luther King Jr. make my point here: When approached by a student who attacked Zionism, Dr. King responded: “When people criticize Zionists, they mean Jews. You’re talking anti-Semitism.”

          • Cosmic_Surfer

Good over simplification. There is a difference between a “zionist” and someone who is Jewish,. Being married to a Jew that isn’t a Zionist, I know the difference as do many people in this day and age. The comment by wiseoldsnail was not antisemitism…By the by – do you understand what a Semite is? Not all Semites are Jews just like not all Jews are Semites.

Zionism is a form of nationalism just like exceptionalism.

          • http://wiseoldsnail.org/ wiseoldsnail

you can decide whatever you mean when you say words . only i get to decide what i mean . not you, and not dr. king

            zionism is political action
            by a warring faction

as i said, millions of jews around the world agree with me . are they also anti-semitic?

  • http://www.mycbn.com/ FaithDefender

Me? I see his point. You see, what Mr. Sincavage simply has here is failure to communicate. He is trying to tell you something. What we have, in fact, is a Nazi in the White House.

    • searambler

No we don’t. This guy is just a fucking idiot, too stupid to understand the symbology he’s using.

    • Pablo Fodor

So you think killing 6 million people is not as bad as what Obama is doing? Obama isn’t gassing people alive in large numbers, he isn’t having kids thrown into sweat shops, shooting whole families in front of others. raping women, men, or children. Think about the entirety of what Hitler did to the Jews and other supporters of Jews then think is Obama really that bad? really?

      • Dick Greyson

        Yeah really!!!!!

      • Editor

Hitler did NOT do those things to the Jews, but what the UK US and USSR did to the German people is a horrendous crime. Are you a Jewish liar or just an idiot?

      • Steven Meinekee

Thee are approximately 200 kids in Pakistan, a nation we call our biggest ally in the Middle East , who are no longer available for sweat shop duty…They were used instead for drone target practice. A Noble Peace Prize winner authorized it, knows about the innocent civilians, women, and children wrongly targeted and/or just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and writes it off as collateral damage. Oops. And before you go calling me a GOP shill, I will also remind you that over 1,000,000 Iraqis were believed to be killed during ‘Operation Iraqi Freedom’, the previous administrations attempt at protecting the USDollar, err, Iraq’s sovereignty. Libya encountered a similar problem after Ghaddafi held a summit with North African leaders and proposed using the Dinar instead of US currency for foreign transactions. The only diffence is that instead of mounting a huge US-led war after Iraq decided to switch to the Euro, we recruited ‘rebels’ from neighboring Al-Queda camps, armed them to the hilt, and provided some close air-support, similar to the path we are taking with Syria. My point is this, we aren’t trying to save humanity from evil dictators, otherwise we’d be in places like Darfur and Niger, where attrocities are a way of life. If you think the talking heads on TV are telling you the whole story, somewhat based in truth, regardless of which network you watch or what letter is after their name, you need to wake up. The most important fact to know is that 98% of what you see on tv,rad in the paper, or hear on the radio is controlled by 3 corporations, look for independent sources, they are right here on your computer.

We have a Nazi in the White House? Really?
      Nazi:

      1
: a member of a German fascist party controlling Germany from 1933 to 1945 under Adolf Hitler
      2
      often not capitalized
a : one who espouses the beliefs and policies of the German Nazis : fascist
b : one who is likened to a German Nazi : a harshly domineering, dictatorial, or intolerant person

I did not know that President Obama was German. Thought he was half Kenyan.
I did not know that President Obama was a member of a German Facist party. I thought he was a Democrat.
I did not know that President Obama believed in Nazi facist policies. I thought he said he believe in American and the
      Christian God.
I did not know that President Obama was harshly domineering, dictatorial, and intolerant. That sounds more like our present House of Representatives and it’s speaker John Beohner. Maybe I should start watching Fox News for clarification? Or perhaps listen to Rush Limbaugh, while doing Oxycoton?

        acting like a nazi, dummy

      • disqus_oHbhrVpFTp

b : one who is likened to a German Nazi : a harshly domineering, dictatorial, or intolerant person

in your own words there Charles Evans…. dont matter if you call owebummer a fascist, socialist, he has traits to damn near ever ‘ist government and knows not a damn thing about our Republican Government and you yourself prolly dont either as I am sure you think like many others uneducated Americans that the US is a Democracy and it surely is NOT.

as for the fox news comment shows even more how uneducated you are that you cant do your own research instead you listen to MSM ….I have found very few that are against this administration actually use MSM at all and that includes Fox news and even those that do still do their own research and use Alternative media and cross check info….and then research it….

    • Editor

You idiot, the US government is Communist, not National Socialist, it has been Communist since the Civil War. The US was instrumental in destroying NS Germany WITH the UK and USSR 70 years ago, proving that you are a moron.

      • http://wiseoldsnail.org/ wiseoldsnail

        yup

  • Cosmic_Surfer

You have a very Republican view of our history of race relations. You can’t just make shit up and present it as fact. This is not Fox News. Did it occur to you that the Right’s reaction to the first black president is fueling all these hate groups, and empowering assholes like this guy flying a nazi flag? No, you blame Obama for THEIR reaction to him. Typical. The most recognizable name associated with the Right Wing in America today, by the Republican rank and file itself, is Rush Limbaugh, the premier racist in this country. (According to a recent name recognition poll taken concerning both Dems and Repubs.) Blaming Obama for racism from the Right Wing is like blaming poor people for Wall Street’s nearly tanking the economy. Dumb.

  • searambler

It’s funny. Ten years ago, the GOP said ‘How dare you question the president! You’re unAmerican, unpatriotic, unChristian, and treasonous!!!’ Today, those very same assholes say ‘It’s my god given right to question the president! Never trust the government! We should be allowed to secede from the union!’ All it took was one black president to get them to change their tune…..

    • Daniel_Carlen

…Or maybe its because he’s a Democrat? Seriously, what is it with guys like you forgetting that little detail just because this Democrat happens to be black? Maybe YOU might be the racist one.

You idiot Whites who blab abour the so-called Holocaust and racism are so unbelievably gullible and stupid as to pass ass bottom feeder fish. Honest to God. First, if you believe in the Holocaust you are a stupid moron as you have obviously never really looked into or considered the feasibility of the CLAIMS. Secondly, if you are batshit about racism, you are an even bigger piece of trash unworthy of being White as you are stupid enough to believe that only YOUR civilization and race should commit suicide because the Jews tell you to. Instead of dragging us all down the toilet with you, kill yourselves and let the rest of us Whites survive, we don’t need or want you. Did Reagan have a kill list of American citizens? Did Reagan use that kill list to assassinate 4 American citizens ON said list?

Reagan was no free market guru, and the 80’s were no capitalist utopia. But he also exhibited far fewer qualities of being a National Socialist than Barack Obama currently does.

  • Jordan Hartwick

i wish people would stop calling it a “Nazi” flag, yes it was flown by Hitler’s 3rd Reich but the swastika is a symbol of peace in other parts of he world. the man clearly not racist but merely voicing his right to fly the swastika on his house. if enough people follow this mans actions of protest something good MIGHT come of it.
