Knoxville police removed two vinyl banners containing what police called a message of white supremacy from an Interstate 640 overpass on Monday morning. The banners read,”‘Diversity’ is a code word for white genocide.” Such signs have popped up in several Southern States recently such as Arkansas.
Police first received a call about the banners which were tied to the Norfolk Southern Railroad bridge over I-640 just before 9 a.m.

Investigators with KPD and the NS Railroad Police removed the banners and are working to determine who placed the signs there.
The mysterious banners were approximately 30 inches tall and 123 feet long. The were hung from a railroad span over the interstate, which greeted travelers with the white supremacist message. A passerby alerted the police by calling 911 at 9:00 a.m. on Monday.
Opposing Views reports:
According to the White Genocide Project, “white genocide” is the ending of the white race through assimilation and “legally forcing” whites to diversify.
“For example, the Obama administration declared Marin County California to be ‘Too White’, and wanted more non-Whites there,” the group’s website says.
“Governments that are in power today document the fact that White people are becoming minorities in White countries all over the world, but at the same time will call for ‘diversity’, which is a codeword for less White people,” it says.
Last month in Harrison, Ark., someone paid $200 a month for an entire year to display a 12-by-24–foot sign with the message “Anti-Racist is a Code Word for Anti-White.”

The Huffington Post reported, “Harrison has just 34 black residents out of a population of 12,943, according to 2010 census figures cited by KATV. Ten years ago, the town established a race-relations task force in an attempt to adjust it’s reputation for racial discrimination and violence.”
With few blacks populating Harrison, someone felt threatened by their presence, which speaks volumes of their mindset and the money they poured into the ugly display.
The Associated Press pointed to the history of Harrison in which race riots in the early 20th century were responsible for chasing “all but one black person from Harrison.” The KKK uses a P.O. Box located in the town, and its headquarters are 15 miles away in Zinc, Ark.
