During the second GOP presidential debate Wednesday night, candidates lined up to support putting civil rights activist Rosa Parks on the $10 bill.
Donald Trump, Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) all said they would be open to putting the civil rights activist on the $10 bill, according to the Huffington Post.
But it seems Republicans (again) don’t know history even as well as a 14-year-old.
Madison Kimrey, a young political activist from North Carolina, tweeted the following:
Somebody send these guys the memo Rosa Parks served on the board of Planned Parenthood #CNNDebate

Rosa Parks sat on the national board of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, an entity that Cruz is calling to defund even if it means a government shutdown. And again, he’s blaming President Obama if the Texas Republican shutters the government.
Cruz praised Parks during the debate Wednesday night, calling her “a principled pioneer that helped change this country, helped remedy racial injustice.”
Crus said that putting Ms. Parks on the $10 bill is “an honor that would be entirely appropriate,” though he’d prefer to have her picture on the $20 to replace Andrew Jackson’s.
Rubio called Parks “an everyday American that changed the course of history” and Donald Trump weighed in to say Parks would be the best choice for the currency — after, his own daughter.
“Other than that, we’ll go with Rosa Parks,” the hotel magnate said. “I like that.”
In contrast, Jeb Bush chose his candidate for the $10 bill.
My pal Tiffany from Liberal America reports, “Jeb Bush said that he’d like to see the late British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on the revamped $10 bill.”
A British woman on American money. That’s different. I thought we broke from the British. Something about a revolution.
As for Carly Fiorina, her dramatic claims during the debate about Planned Parenthood were rated ‘mostly false’ by Politifact. The part of the video she was referring to, was edited with stock images – those scenes of “a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking” at a Planned Parenthood facility did not happen.
That was the creation of the anti-choice group which videotaped, then Breitbarted the footage of the encounter with a Planned Parenthood employee.
