“I’ve said everything that Donald Trump is saying and more,” David Duke told Gideon Resnick from The Daily Beast. “I think Trump is riding a wave of anti-establishment feeling that I’ve been nurturing for 25 years.”
By “anti-establishment,” David Duke means “racist,” of course. Like Donald Trump, he wants to go back to the Good Old Days when bigots could say and do all the hateful things they want with no pesky interference from the “political correctness” (PC) police.
Racists unite! You have nothing left to lose but your chains!
The former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard and perennial losing candidate for public office from Louisiana is seriously mulling a run against the GOP incumbent, Rep. Steve Scalise. David Duke’s future rival is the GOP’s majority whip, and hence the third most powerful Republican in the house.
“I’ve very seriously set up an exploratory committee to run for the United States Congress against Steve Scalise. I expect to make a decision in a few days” ahead of the July 22 ballot deadline.
So why is David Duke coming out of the wood work? He smells blood. The rise of Donald Trump and the killing of five Dallas police officers by a lone wolf black man the media portrays as a militant, may have emboldened him:
“I don’t take any satisfaction in the fact that I was right, but I have been right. Unless European Americans stand up, they are going to lose everything they care about in this country.”
As you may recall, David Duke caused quite the
führer furor amongst GOP leaders when he endorsed Donald Trump back in February. Mein Trumpf, of course, pretended not to know anything about David Duke, his peculiar attraction to racist groups, or his “faulty ear piece.”
Rep. Steve Scalise just isn’t racist enough for David Duke.
Rep. Steve Scalise runs in many of the same circles as David Duke. He even attends and speaks at some of the same hate group gatherings. But as far as David Duke is concerned, “sellout Steve Scalise” just isn’t racist enough.
“He crawled on his hands and his knees to the black caucus. This should not stand […] There are millions of people across the country who would like to have me in the Congress. I’d be the only person in Congress openly defending the rights and the heritage of European American. We are on the offensive today. There’s no more defenses.”
Watch: Hillary Clinton calls out Donald Trump f0r waffling on David Duke’s endorsement.
Q: "Will you condemn David Duke and say that you don't want…white supremacists' [votes]?"
Trump: "I don't know."https://t.co/PD8bNwMsUK
