Does Donald Trump have a back-up plan? Or has ‘Trump TV’ been his goal all along? Financial Times is reporting that Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, held a meeting with LionTree Advisors Chief Executive Aryeh Bourkoff on the subject. Bourkoff is a media industry ‘dealmaker’ and investment banker.
In August The Washington Post noted that Trump seems to be surrounding his campaign with media players, including Breitbart Media’s Stephen Bannon and former Fox News CEO and fellow groping enthusiast Roger Ailes. Of course Trump denied the rumors, but Trump and his campaign habitually lie, even about things he’s said on camera.
It all fits together so seamlessly, you almost wonder if his whole campaign has been a PR stunt for what comes after. Fomenting anger and then re-purposing it is along valued Republican strategy, but Donald Trump has taken it down darker alleyways than most candidates dare to tread. Trump supporters resemble a ‘cult of personality’ far more than they do a viable political coalition. And Trump himself is burning bridges with the party’s leadership, in ways that seem unfathomable if winning the Presidency is his actual goal.
I believe that Donald Trump wants to be president. Or at least be the leader of the country. His narcissism and sense of entitlement, lead me to suspect that the office of POTUS might feel disappointingly restrictive to him, with all the checks and balances the Constitution puts in place.
But the head of a media empire, with a built-in audience of people who are already calling for armed revolt over the “rigged” election that hasn’t even taken place yet? Who knows what you could do with that kind of power?
That’s what makes the not-so-subtle shift in blame for election rigging more interesting. It turns out the media is the culprit. Trump campaign advisor Kellyanne Conway is among the people throwing out the new ‘message.’

If the dreaded media and ‘Crooked Hillary’ have conspired to steal Trump’s opportunity to be president, what can be done? Stay tuned, Freedom Lovers! Trump TV (We’re Fox on Meth! And America!) may provide the answer.
