Trumpster Florida Gov. Won’t Extend Voter Registration Deadline As Residents Evacuate (VIDEO)

The Florida Gov. is blocking the vote.

Just after Gov. Rick Scott warned residents of his state to evacuate, saying, ‘this (storm) will kill you” in order to prompt evacuation to avoid potential deaths from Hurricane Matthew, the Florida Governor announced that he will not extend the Tuesday deadline for voter registration.

President Obama declared a state of emergency in Florida at Scott’s request. Residents are fleeing the state.

“Everybody has had a lot of time to register,” Scott said during a storm update Thursday night in the state’s Emergency Operations Center, according to Politico. “On top of that, we’ve got lots of opportunities to vote: Early voting, absentee voting and Election Day. So, I don’t intend to make any changes.”

We can’t image why Scott would pull such a dick-move:

Meanwhile, voter-registration records show, Democrats are walloping Republicans. The Florida Democratic Party has submitted about 488,000 voter-registration forms it has collected for this election, while Republicans have submitted roughly 60,000, according to state reports.

The Clinton campaign requested an extension in light of the deadly storm which prompted thousands of voters to evacuate.

Meanwhile, an attorney with a law firm that works for Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee wrote “See you in court” to the Florida governor.

He retweeted a video of Scott saying, “This is a monster. … In my lifetime, I’ve never seen anything like this”

Politico reports:

The final days of voter registration in Florida often brings out more people who register as Democrats or who, though they register as no-party-affiliation voters, fit the profile of a Democratic voter.

In 2012, for instance, more than 86,000 people registered to vote in the last eight days before the deadline — only 21 percent were Republican and 40 percent were Democrats; 38 percent were independents but many were young and/or minority, according to Daniel A. Smith, a University of Florida political science professor, who studies the state’s voter-registration rolls and trends.

South Carolina, in contrast, has extended the deadline to register to vote in anticipation of Hurricane Matthew. What Scott is doing is prompting everyone to get out of the state, then blocking the vote. Such a nice man. If your party has to win by cheating then your candidate sucks.
