The Internet Mocks Breitbart HARD Over Its Dumb Kellogg’s Boycott (TWEETS)

41

We all know how effective conservatives are at boycotts. JOKING! You know how well the boycott of the musical Hamilton went. Anway, so Kellogg Co. announced on Tuesday that it will pull ads from Breitbart.com. Other companies, too, are pulling ads from the racist ‘Alt-Right’ site, including AllState, Modcloth, Nest and SoFi.

Kellogg’s spokeswoman Kris Charles told the Associated Press, “”We regularly work with our media buying partners to ensure our ads do not appear on sites that aren’t aligned with our values as a company. This involves reviewing websites where ads could potentially be placed using filtering technology to assess site content. As you can imagine, there is a very large volume of websites, so occasionally something is inadvertently missed.”

Digiday reports:

The site, which says it receives 45 million monthly readers (comScore estimates it attracted 19.2 million readers in October), said that Kellogg’s decision to drop the site from its rotation of advertising represents an “escalation in the war by leftist companies … against conservative customers whose values propelled Donald Trump into the White House.”

The site is also posting news articles alongside the boycott post saying that Kellogg’s is complicit in child labor abuses, citing an Amnesty International report on companies that use palm oil made on plantations overseas. Breitbart had never previously expressed concerns over where Kellogg’s got its palm oil.

The boycott backfired spectacularly.

This. So much this:

FreakOutNation’s fiancé tweeted:

Oh, for fuck’s sake, I don’t even like cereal and now I’m going to go buy me some Kellogg’s tomorrow.
