Portrayals As Steve Bannon’s Puppet Enrage Thin-Skinned Trump (VIDEO)

Trump is the star of 'Celebrity President'

Reality television star and malignant narcissist Donald J. Trump is getting really tired of you people saying that strategist Steve Bannon is the real power behind the throne.

Last week, a TIME Magazine cover story asked “Is Steve Bannon the Second Most Powerful Man in the World?” Last night, a bombshell New York Times story described the president obsessing over drapes while his staff wanders in the dark, leaving Bannon to micromanage the administration with fellow white nationalist Stephen Miller.

In between, NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live aired a cold opening with Alec Baldwin’s Trump destroying American relationships before surrendering his Oval Office desk to President Bannon — who was dressed as the Grim Reaper.

Today, NBC News editor Bradd Jaffy notes on Twitter, Trump was obviously watching MSNBC’s Morning Joe when host Joe Scarborough argued against the caricature of ‘President Bannon.’ About an hour later, Donald popped off with this tweet.

Four hours later, Trump accused the New York Times of libel.

But in fact the Trump administration is already the leakiest of modern times, setting new records for the depth and color of insider information at the Times, the Washington Post, CNN, and other outlets. This is hardly surprising.

As a malignant narcissist, Trump does not deal well with bad news. Kellyanne Conway demonstrated early in the Trump transition that the best way to focus his attention on a hard topic is by talking about it on a cable news show.

While few White House staff are willing to appear as guests on ‘Morning Joe,’ they understand that Trump values his hometown newspaper’s headlines more than any other, so it is a primary way for them to tell the president things he doesn’t want to hear.

Terrifying phone calls with allies and neighbors. Supreme Court nomination rollouts modeled on reality television. Executive orders to legalize LGBT discrimination, thankfully quashed. Bannon twisting arms to expel green card holders. Every one of these stories has happened in just the last week, and all of them were sourced to anonymous White House insiders.

Being a malignant narcissist, Donald Trump is outraged by the perceived loss of status — not by the fact that Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller kept him out of the loop while they were drafting “his” executive orders.

Chief of Staff Reince Priebus has reportedly moved to reign in the white power duo, but they remain the president’s policy chiefs regardless. The Trump administration will therefore continue to spring new leaks even as the internal power struggle continues.
