Attorney General Jeff Sessions went full stupid this week when he let it be known that he is apparently too stupid to know that Hawaii is part of the United States. Surely, he must know that Hawaii is a state, right? RIGHT? Well, after what he said a few days ago, I’m not so sure.
Sessions was interviewed on The Mark Levin Show Tuesday night and threw a temper tantrum over Donald Trump’s bigoted Muslim ban being scrapped thanks to a judge in Hawaii. The interview, which was put online Wednesday morning, is enough to make you wonder if the attorney general thinks Hawaii is a separate country rather than one of the 50 states.
We’ve got cases moving in the very, very liberal Ninth Circuit, who, they’ve been hostile to the order. We won a case in Virginia recently that was a nicely-written order that just demolished, I thought, all the arguments that some of the other people have been making. We are confident that the President will prevail on appeal and particularly in the Supreme Court, if not the Ninth Circuit. So this is a huge matter. I really am amazed that a judge sitting on an island in the Pacific can issue an order that stops the President of the United States from what appears to be clearly his statutory and Constitutional power.
Seriously? “A judge sitting on an island in the Pacific?” Would it really have made any difference if the judge was sitting in New York? It wouldn’t. The fact that the sitting attorney general doesn’t seem to know that is a problem. A big problem.
@matthewamiller “Sitting on an island in the pacific” He’s referring to Hawaii like its another country or something..

Sessions also added that “judges don’t get to psychoanalyze the President to see if the order he issues is lawful. It’s either lawful or it’s not.” Well, that happens to be exactly what that “judge sitting on an island in the Pacific” ruled on. And he ruled that Trump’s Muslim ban wasn’t lawful because it was based on Trump’s bigotry. Period. End of story. Sessions just doesn’t seem to be able to grasp this concept, but that isn’t entirely surprising considering he’s known for being just a teeny bit of a raging racist himself.
