The men of Fox News have a massive sexual harassment problem, but they just can’t restrain themselves.
On Wednesday’s edition of The Five, the co-hosts were chatting about Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly’s first public speech. You’d think that since Fox’s top news “personality” Bill O’Reilly got fired that morning amid accusations of sexual harassment, the guys would be on their best behavior.
The show opened with a clip from John Kelly’s speech at Georgetown University. There, he put members of Congress who oppose immigration enforcement to either change the laws or “shut up.”
“If lawmakers do not like the laws they’ve passed and we are charged to enforce — then they should have the courage and skill to change the laws. Otherwise, they should shut up and support the men and women on the front lines.”
You wouldn’t think a speech like that would lead to sexual harassment so quickly. But, apparently, the thought of DHS and ICE agents tearing parents away from their weeping children, detaining them under brutal conditions, and then deporting them gets Co-Host Greg Gutman hot and bothered.
The Five‘s crew greeted the speech with enthusiasm, and grinned ear-to-ear while saying things like, “About time.” “I agree.” and “Love it!” They went on to disparage sanctuary cities and declare that it’s against the law to harbor undocumented immigrants and we need to obey the law.
Of course, they said nothing about putting Donald Trump in jail for hiring undocumented workers, even though he disobeyed the law. Instead, they made inside jokes about Bob Beckel’s fake facts.
Bob Beckel: Instead of cutting every fact I’ve got and just saying, and laughing it off, because it’s — you know, it’s four to one as it is. You might want to take some facts you don’t like because a lot of them have do with —
Eric Bolling: Alright, give us one. Just give us one.
Kimberly Guilfoyle: All right, look at this — waah, waah, crybaby. Call your camp counselor.
Dana Perino: Poor Bob, no.
Bob Beckel: Call your dressmaker, I mean —
And here’s the sexual harassment part. Kimberly Guilfoyle joked about giving the dressmaker (how did they get to calling a dressmaker?) a raise, and then — after guffawing heartily — Greg Gutfeld declares she’s “giving America a raise.” By which he meant an erection. Ew.
Kimberly Guilfoyle: And give him a raise, that’s what I’m saying. That’s what I’m saying.
Greg Gutfeld: You are giving America a raise.
Kimberly Guilfoyle: Oh my God [laughs].
TV hosts flirt with each other constantly on all the networks, but this takes newsroom banter to a whole new level. Luckily for us, Media Matters caught this exquisite moment on video.
Watch: Fox’s Greg Gutfeld indulges in a little casual sexual harassment.
And here’s the whole enchilada. The segment on John Kelly’s speech begins at the 26:36 mark, and the sexual harassment part starts at the 31:18 mark.
