Rumor has it that Donald Trump is considering Callista Gingrich, the former mistress-turned third and current wife of that nasty GOP curmudgeon Newt, for America’s Ambassador to Vatican City.
Oh, Holy See!
Of course, the Newt couldn’t be happier. The unethical former House Speaker ousted by his own party knows how to grease the political wheel, and he’s doing a bang up job doing it for his wife by kissing the ass of Trump’s wife, err, daughter, Ivanka.

Sucking up to the Trumps comes as second nature for Gingrich. He sucked up serving as a Trump advisor during the presidential campaign, and he’s sucking up now to Ivanka in order to get his wife the gig. In one of his latest newsletters, he wrote this:
Just last week I wrote that I rarely review books, yet this week, with Mother’s Day approaching, I find myself once again inspired to share another exceptional read with you. This one happens to be written by a member of our nation’s first family, who is a mother of three herself.
Ivanka Trump’s Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules for Success was released last week and is already a New York Times Best Seller. It is a truly inspiring book that I encourage all Americans to read.
Bestseller, my ass. According to data, Ivanka tome only sold 10,445 print copies in the first five days after its release. In contrast, Sheryl Sandberg’s 2013 book about women in the workforce, Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead, sold 74,176 print copies in its first week on the market.
Newt can drool over Ivanka’s pages all he wants, but it doesn’t change the fact her book’s been heavily criticized. According to “many many” readers, it’s filled with so much sh*t that readers need a shovel to turn the page. IMHO, it’s good only for your next roll of toilet paper. And evidently social media agrees; this photo has gone viral in recent weeks.
Ivanka also included a slew of inspirational quotes — from other people. One of those quotes came from beloved animal behavior expert and conservationist Jane Goodall . Not exactly a fan of Ivanka’s daddy, Goodall has said that the Trump administration has put wildlife, national monuments, clean air and clean water in jeopardy.
“Legislation that was passed by previous governments to protect wildlife such as the Endangered Species Act, create national monuments and other clean air and water legislation have all been jeopardized by this administration,” said Goodall, who added. “I hope that Ms. Trump will stand with us to value and cherish our natural world and protect this planet for future generations.”
But I digress. This isn’t about Ivanka’s book at all. It’s about appointing a person with diplomatic expertise to represent America in the Vatican, and with the Holy See. Callista Gingrich has no background experience to qualify as an international diplomat. And the Pope, as we know, is a person who disagrees entirely with Donald Trump.
