Donald Trump is not very popular with world leaders. We all remember how the British Parliament spent hours on end excoriating him for his toxic, bigoted campaign rhetoric, and trying to ultimately decide whether or not to ban then-candidate Trump from their nation for being a hate preacher. You can watch part of that below, in a beautiful montage put out via the Washington Post:

When Trump became president, one of his first phone calls was to Malcolm Turnbull, the Prime Minister of Australia. Apparently, the call was so offensive that Senator John McCain had to make an emergency call to the Australian Ambassador to calm things down. Now, it seems that, despite Prime Minister Turnbull’s very public meeting with Trump, we are now seeing what the Prime Minister really thinks of our man-baby “president,” – none of it good. Leaked audio shows Turnbull mocking Trump’s elementary style rhetoric and talking points. While speaking to reporters in Australia about Trump, Turnbull said:

“The Donald and I … we are winning and winning in the polls. We are winning so much, we are winning like we have never done before. We are winning in the polls, we are. Not the fake polls. Not the fake polls. They’re the ones we are not winning in. We are winning in the real polls. You know the online polls. They are so easy to win. I know that, do you know that? I kind of know that. They are so easy to win. I have this Russian guy …”

So, Turnbull mocks everything from Trump’s insane rhetoric to his Russia problem. This is just a taste of what the rest of the world thinks of the fact that we elected Donald Trump to be our “president,” folks. It’s hilarious in the short term, but it is very scary when we really stop to think of what this truly means for the republic. We should all be very sad, scared, and ashamed.
