Flying bags of drugs. Really?
Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat in the House Intelligence Committee, wants to find out how Trump’s latest design specifications for his proposed border wall will affect the GOP’s plan to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, Raw Story reports.
So he fired off this tweet Saturday:
If an American is hit over the head with a big sack of drugs flying over the wall, would it be covered by Trumpcare, or would Mexico pay for it?

Earlier this week while he was on Air Force One, Trump told reporters that his previous remarks about making the wall solar paneled were no joke, Mediaite reports. He elaborated further by saying that with the wall “you need transparency,” and that by making the wall see-through because Americans might get hit over the head with “large sacks of drugs.”
And he also hopped on Twitter. Again:
If you have people on the other side of the wall, you don’t see them — they hit you on the head with 60 pounds of stuff? It’s over.

With this short tweet, Schiff managed to needle Trump about his past comments that Mexico will pay for the wall, while at the same time zinging his administration’s failed efforts to overhaul and revitalize the country’s healthcare system. And this comes just as Senate Republican leaders prepare for a final vote on their revised healthcare bill next week, The Hill notes.
But the bill is already in sad shape — two Republicans Senators have already declared their opposition to the bill, and it can’t afford more opposition, and that’s coupled with the fact that the Democrats are staunchly opposed to the measure.
With this short and simple tweet, Schiff has roundly put Trump in his place.
