Huckabee Sanders Goes Off The Rails, Contradicts Trump’s Claim On Russia Sanctions

Deputy White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders just contradicted her boss’s claim in which the former reality show star tweeted that sanctions were not discussed at his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. You know what could have really cleared this up? If Trump didn’t have a private meeting with his Russian counterpart. During an off-camera interview, Huckabee Sanders said that “there were sanctions specific to election meddling that were discussed” at the meeting.

CNN White House reporter Kaitlan Collins tweeted that Huckabee Sanders said, “There were sanctions specific to election meddling that were discussed but not beyond that.”

So the White House disagrees with their so-called President then.

Ivanka Trump briefly sat in for her father at the G2 summit and to defend that, the alleged president attacked Chelsea Clinton earlier today.

The entire briefing was off the rails. A reporter asked Huckabee Sanders when Trump is going to move on from the Clintons and she responded that the tweet “was about responding to an outrageous attack on a White House senior advisor.”

Huckabee Sanders was asked about Donald Trump Jr.‘s meeting with a Russian lawyer, and her defense was that it was a “very short meeting” with “no follow-up.”

“The only thing I see inappropriate about the meeting,” she added, “was the people that leaked the information on the meeting after it was voluntarily disclosed.”

We’re talking about collusion with a foreign hostile government, and the fact he was caught isn’t the problem. The problem is the meeting, which was also attended by Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort, could possibly be illegal.
